𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 [2]

Onika and Michai had been walking around the ranch for quite awhile now, the last time they came here was almost five years ago.

So you could just tell how excited they were to be back here, especially Onika who was getting bored of the city life, and the people she hung around with- who only used her for either money or popularity.

She was starting to get sick of it.

"I'm getting kinda tired of being here, I think imma head back to the manor" Michai spoke as he used his palm to wipe off the sweat on his forehead.

"Yeah okay, I'm gonna stay back for awhile" Nicki said wanting to explore the place more, she was low-key hoping she'd see the texan beauty that'd caught her eye earlier.

"Sure" That was the last thing Michai said before he started heading off in the opposite direction leaving Onika to wander around.

Walking into the stables, she thought it'd be a good idea to take one of the horses out for a ride like she used to.

And there she was again- the southern Belle she'd seen earlier, she could feel her cheeks slightly warming up.

"That's her- that's her.. the love of my life" Ty whispered excitedly in Beyoncé's ear making her turn her head up seeing the girl her best friend had been so infatuated with.

"Umm.. hi" Nicki said walking further into the stables where the two friends were busy feeding the horses.

"Sup, so.. what you looking for ma?" Ty said licking his lips trying to act cool, making Nicki internally cringe at his behavior.

"I was wondering if I could take one if the horses out for a ride?" Nicki smiles looking over at the horses.

Beyoncé just stood quietly to the side watching her best friend embarrass himself before his so called 'crush'.

"Of course, if you want I could be your horse" Ty said winking.

"Umm.. no" Nicki said scrunching her face up in disgust.

"I think that's enough Ty, you should probably go.. ion know do something productive with yourself" beyoncé laughed at his horrible pick up lines.

Tyrone only grumbled out a few incoherent words seeing as he'd just embarrassed himself in front of his crush, now he was probably just going to meet the other male workers to help him with his horribly outdated pick-up lines.

Beyoncé went back to her work as soon as Tyrone left, now she was feeling kinda nervous being in the same room as the awfully pretty girl before her.

As for Nicki she just couldn't get her eyes of the southern Belle, her face, her accent, everything about her just
left Nicki feeling some type of way.

"Hey.." Nicki said back up trying to start a conversation.

"Hi" beyoncé mumbled shyly only looking at her for a split second.

"My name's Onika by the way" she said walking a little closer to the girl.

"B-beyoncé" the taller girl mumbled shyly.

'Why do rich people have to be so intimidating damn' Beyoncé thought.

"You know you cute, right" Nicki said more as a statement backing Beyoncé into one of the walls.

It was especially kinda funny considering the very obvious height difference, but Beyoncé wouldn't lie and say she wasn't flustered.

"I..I-"

"You wanna go for a ride?" Nicki asked again pushing a strand of hair behind the taller girls ear.

"I.. I have to work" Beyoncé replied shaking her head, she didn't want to lose her job because of some crazily pretty girl.

"I said do you want to go for a ride?"

"Yes-but.."

"You said yes so let's go shall we" Nicki smiled walking over to one of the horses her dimples on full display.

"I'm gonna lose my job" Beyoncé said nervously.

She didn't want to reject the bosses daughter but she also didn't want to lose her job right now, she was now stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"My dad owns this whole ranch trust me when I say you're not gonna get fired" Nicki cringed a little as she sounded like an entitled daddy's girl.

"Umm..okay. I guess"

"Good."

"Let's have a race, what'd you say?"

"Okay. But.. you're gonna lose" Beyoncé said feeling a sudden wave of comfortableness around the girl.

"Is that so?" Nicki sat feigning shock. "let's go then"

The two both got on their horses as they started racing off, Beyoncé winning by just a bit..

"That's not fair, you cheated!" Nicki whined as they both rode their horses slowly round the ranch.

"I ain't cheat, you just really slow" Beyoncé laughed sticking her tongue out at the girl.

Nicki just laughed shaking her head, "I'm not slow just a bit rusty"

"Mhmm.. keep telling yourself that" Beyoncé spoke before looking down at her watch, seeing it was time for their lunch break, she didn't even realize how much time had passed.

"It's time for my lunch break, I gotta meet up with ty we always get lunch together" she said looking at Nicki.

"Can you just skip for today, I really wanna get to know you, you seem like a lot of fun" Nicki said hoping Beyoncé would change her mind.

Beyoncé thought about it for a long time before nodding..

I mean why not.. Ty would understand. She thought to herself.

"Let's just go return these horses first" Nicki said as both she and Beyoncé went to return the horses.

"Where are we going for lunch?" Beyoncé asked as soon as she finished securing the last horse in it's stable.

"Let's go back to my families manor, we could also hang out there after lunch" Nicki said smiling, hoping to at least make a friend in her three months stay at this place.

"Umm I don't think that's a very good idea, I gotta get back to work after this" Beyoncé mumbled nervously.

"Oh hush, you gotta stop being so uptight about everything" Nicki said grabbing a hold of her hand as she walked them both to her Audi R8

"Wow your car is nice as hell" Beyoncé said looking at it, hoping to save enough money to get one as neat as that one day.

"Oh it's nothing, come on get in" It was then Nicki let go of her hand before walking to the driver's seat, as Beyoncé hesitantly climbed into the passengers not wanting to mess the car seats up.

As they drove pass trees, Beyoncé couldn't be anymore jittery, not only was she nervous about going to this pretty girl that she quite literally just met a couple hours ago's house.. she was also nervous seeing as she hadn't been in a car since the incident that happened when she was 12.

The drive to the manor wasn't as long as she expected, it was probably about a ten minute drive or so..

Beyoncé couldn't help but be in awe at the sheer size of the building, it was freaking humongous.

"Wow! This place is really freaking nice!" Beyoncé said looking around.

"Thank you" Nicki smiled before grabbing ahold of her hand and dragging her into the house.

Beyoncé could only wonder what they were gonna be doing for the rest of the day.
