BEYNIKA SHOTS

𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 44 (𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝)

"So you ready for your first day?" Megan asked Nicki as she got her clipboard off the desk.

"Very." Nicki smiled and nodded.

"Keep in mind, that some of the patients over here are sensitive, like really sensitive, they all have what triggers them."

"Noted."

"Ok...so, you're gonna wait for Robyn she's gonna give you a tour around and show you to your assigned patient."

As she waited for Robyn in the office, with Megan sorting out a few paperwork on the desk, she decided to take a peek outside, hearing the painful screams of some of the patients.

She sighed thinking this was just another environment she was gonna have to deal with, Nicki then saw a woman who had on a very frustrated look on her face walking in her direction, she stepped aside as the woman got into the room slamming her clipboard harshly on the desk.

"I gotta go find myself a new job." Robyn said rubbing her temples.

Soon she noticed Nicki in the room also, "oh, you must be the new nurse?"

"Not really, I just got transferred here."

"Nicki, right?" Robyn inquired coming over to extend her hand "I believe I owe you a tour."

"That's what Megan said." Nicki smiled gladly accepting the hand shake.

"Let's get this started then, I'm just gonna find your clipboard." Robyn said searching through a few files before finally see what she needed.

"Here you go." Robyn said handing the clipboard to Onika, "let's go."

After a short tour around the institution, they finally stopped at a door which was located at the end of the hallway.

"Ok, here's the room, room 44 and before you go in, here's the room key." Robyn said handing her a key.

"Also, a quick warning before you go in, your patient is a bit hard to handle so you gotta have a lot of patience dealing with her." Robyn said.

"It's not nothing I haven't dealt with before, I think I can manage " Onika chuckled.

"Alright I guess you're ready to start your day." Robyn smiled.

"Okay, thanks." Nicki said and Robyn started walking away. Onika looked to the door to see a sign that wrote in bold letters Room 44, she put the key in the keyhole and turned to unlock it.

"Oh wait!" Robyn said stopping before turning around to look at Nicki
"Be careful."

"Okay...?" Nicki furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

Then Robyn started walking off again, leaving Nicki there feeling nervous and confused, but unlike the other rooms this room in particular was eerily silent so she just assumed the patient was asleep.

She scanned the paper first that consists of the patients profile.

"Beyoncé." she read. She kept reading it to herself until she came across a sentence that caught her eye.

"Been here for six years and hasn't spoken a word ever since" 'so that's why it's so quiet' she thought as she took a deep breath in and courageously opened the door.

Nicki saw a young woman sitting on the bed staring blankly at the plain white wall with her sleeves tied in a knot behind her back. 'How dangerous could she be?'

Nicki slowly and carefully closed the door behind her, clearing her throat a little to catch the woman's attention.

"You must be Beyoncé." Nicki said walking slowly further into the room, "My name is Onika but you can call me Nicki and I'll be your new nurse."
