Chapter 93: Payback

"Liz?"
My eyes shot open and I flinched from the hand on my shoulder.
"You ok?"
It took me a moment to calm myself down before I was able to focus my attention on the visored mech standing over me.
"O-Oh I...I'm fine Jazz."
"Ya sure? Cause it doesn't look like it." He questioned, sitting beside me on the Cybertronian couch and wrapping his arm around me.
"Yeah, I'm alright. I guess I-I just dozed off for a second."
"What have I been telling you. You can't be sleepin' in the Rec Room unless you wanna be sat on. Prowler's rules. "
I rubbed my eyes before staring up at the visored mech. "Well, you can't exactly crush me while I'm in my maximized or Cybertronian form. I'm sure I'm big enough to be seen."
"True, but since you're rather small like the humans the rule applies to you as well."
"Well that's not fair, I'm not even human. That shouldn't even count." I crossed my arms with a pout. "How come Cybertronians get to sleep in the Rec Room and we don't? I see that as a sign of favoritism!"
Jazz laughed. "Same thing goes for us too. Ya should've seen what happened when Ratch caught Hide sleeping in here last week. Big Bot wasn't too happy about the mess."
"Yeah, well he made me go to bed an hour early and told me if I didn't get a full night's rest he would keep me in the Med-Bay until I did."
Jazz smiled and ruffled my hair. "That's Ratch for ya. I remember when he-"
"LIZA!" I flinched at the sudden outburst and curled into Jazz when a frustrated IronHide entered the Rec Room.
"Um...what's up, Old Timer?"
The mech humphed and gestured to the excited Cyberdog running around his legs.
"Boomer! I was looking for you this morning." I slipped from Jazz's hold and sprinted over to the duo to greet my Cyberdog.
I grinned as I kneeled to rub Boomer's head. "Were you with big 'ole Hidey this whole time?"
"Yes, the little runt was bothering me the entire time by barking at me and lubricating on my foot! TWICE!" IronHide stated, annoyed. "And I'm here to return the little piece of scrap to its owner before I dismantle him!"
"Well, it's not my fault he was bothering you. I mean you must've done something wrong to him."
IronHide growled, pulling away slightly when Boomer tried to jump on him. "I have done nothing to this pit spawn!"
"Did you hide his chew toys again?"
"No, I did not hide Ratchet's tools."
"What about-"
"I didn't touch his treats either. I think the little fragger did it for the fun of it."
I held Boomer protectively to my side and pretended to be offended. "I can't believe you accused an innocent Cyberdog of bullying a fellow Autobot for fun. Boomer is the nicest dog I know."
The big mech rolled his optics as he turned to leave. "Just keep your pit spawn of a dog away from me before a funeral is held next week."
Boomer growled at his comment and barked at the retreating Weapon Specialist. "Well, it certainly won't be held for him." I gave his head a gentle rub to ease him. "Come on Boomer, the big meanie doesn't deserve your-hey!" Suddenly the Cyberdog shot out of my grasp and went to tackle Jazz on the Cybertronian-sized couch.
