Chapter 51: More New Things
_____________________________________________

"Hide! Have you seen Liza?! Sarah's making chocolate pancakes and....oh nevermind."

An irate grunt sounded in my consciousness; a sheepish apology following afterward.

"Was it really necessary to burst in like that? What's got you so excited, human?" Ironhide said irately.

"I said I was sorry! I didn't know she was still sleeping! Also, Sarah's making a very special breakfast, so I'ma need you to wake her up, so I can get a plate before Epps does!"

"I'm sure she's awake after your loud outburst."

Instantly my eyes popped open at his prediction.

"Well, well, good morning."

My eyes fluttered lazily against the morning sunlight peeking through the cracked barn doors. I rose up a bit with a tired moan slipping past my lips as I took notice that I was still in the same position from a few hours ago and Will was hopping excitedly on his feet as his head briskly whipped back and forth from his home to me.

"Hurry!"

You know me, not being aware or not caring. It's too early for me to care anyways.

Not entirely sure of the situation, I allowed the tiredness to take over and snuggled back into Ironhide's strong chest attempting to fall asleep again.

"No, No! Hide, wake her up! Please! Get her up! Wake up, Liza!"

Ironhide sighed and gently shook me in his arms. "Wake up, Liz. Come on."

"Why?" I moaned tiredly, not bothering to open my eyes.

"You know human breakfast is very important for you."

I tried to think of another protest but decided not to start an argument this early in the morning. Leisurely, I crawled out of Ironhide's lap and settled onto the ground, swaying slightly on my feet.

Ironhide grinned, "Go on....and open your eyes."

With a sigh, I forced away the urge to fall asleep again and faced the very excited man at the barn doors.

"Come on!" He shouted as he fled out the doors.

I minimized and followed him out with a small groan, ignoring the deep chuckle behind me.

Why so early? I only got 3 hours of sleep!

I dragged my feet through the gravel and the moist grass as I watched Will literally jump onto the porch and burst through the door.

"William!" Sarah's voice exclaimed, nearing a dangerous tone.

Will immediately planted his bottom into a chair with an innocent look towards his wife as I strolled into their home.

All her anger left and she greeted me with a warm smile. "Good morning, Liz."

"G' morning."

"I'm making breakfast. Go on and have a seat, it'll be done in a bit." Sarah stated as she worked over the hot stove.

I seated myself by Annabelle as she happily colored in her coloring book in her princess pajamas. "Whatcha drawing Bells?" I asked curiously, leaning over to get a closer look.

"I'm drawing a monkey." She pointed to the brown color scribbled on the supposed furry creature. "I named him Bubbles." She giggled, kicking her feet under the table.

"It looks nice."

"I SMELL BREAKFAST!!" A shirtless Epps came tumbling down the stairs and quickly rushed to the kitchen.
