Chapter 63: Lessons
____________________________________________"Welcome back, Liza."
I opened my eyes to be greeted by the darkness of the Realm and all the great children of God themselves.
I smiled. "Hey, it's good to see you all again."
"It is nice that you could visit us again, Liza. How have you been?" Vector Prime asked politely.
"I've been pretty good. Uh, I really enjoy spending time with Boomer and the 'bots reactions towards him."
Vector gave a light chuckle. "I see."
"So, what are we doing tonight? Another training session? Is there a part of my form I don't know about? Another guardian?"
Yeah right.
"I'm afraid not. There is something else we wish to discuss with you. Liza, have you ever heard of a bond?"
The word 'bond' crossed in my mind along with some past memories with the 'bots. "I think I heard of it, Prima. My father mentioned having a bond with my mother before. I thought he was talking about some sort of family bond, but I think he meant something else."
"Allow me to explain. A bond is a deep connection formed between sparkmates, family, or very close friends. With this bond, the other half will be able to feel your emotions and know when you're in distress."
"How does a bond form?"
"Well for sparkmates...it is different, but for you, you simply reach out to those close to you with your very spark."
"Like a hug? How do I do that?"
"I will help you, but," A bright ball of energy then appeared in front of me, slowly hovering towards my chest. "Only if you accept."
Of course, I'm gonna trust the children of God. Look what happened last time when they gave me a sparkly ball.
Without hesitation, I reached out and touched the hovering energy only for it to soak into my fingertips like water in a sponge.
A cold unknown feeling coursed through me, sending shivers throughout my body
"W-What was that?"
"You have accepted a bond from me, Liza. I am now a part of you and you are a part of me." Prima announced.
"...Really? I'm connected to you?" To a child of a God.
"Yes. We are connected through mind and spark. How do you feel?"
"I feel...like me, but there's this...other side that feels strong and...calm."
A warm smile came across Prima's face and a sudden wave of love and comfort washed over me
It made me feel...warm and cozy.
"Did you feel that?"
I looked at the Prime confused. "...You did that?"
"Yes, I did." He did it again.
"H-How did...you," I stuttered confused. "Teach me! Teach me! Please! I wanna do that!"
Bipolar?
The Primes grinned at my enthusiasm. "I will teach you, but you must pay close attention, youngling," Prima instructed
I nodded and trained my ears on him.
"Now, try reaching out for my spark."
"How?"
The warm feeling of love returned back into my body, but twice as strong as before. It felt like I was wrapped up in a warm blanket in front of a fireplace on a cold night.
Y'know those uncommon heart-to-heart moments you have with your family that just gives you tingles inside?
That's what I feel like.
"Concentrate on our bond," Prima commanded softly as he continued to gently probe around the loving circle of my heart.
I did as he said and focused on the source distributing the warm comfort to my soul. I was like a baby crawling around the house. The more places I explored, the more my curiosity grew.
As I got closer, the powerful presence of Prima's spark made itself known near my lost soul. It was strong, full of passion, great, but gentle and caring at the same time.
The qualities of a true Prime.
I felt like a happy child with a massive imagination standing in front of greatness.
Prima's spark reached out as an invitation and I grasped onto it, catching onto the soft hum from Prime himself.
I allowed the emotions from Prima to overcome me and returned the same treatment to him.
The first Prime smiled warmly. "I feel it. You did well, Liza."
How did I do that in five minutes?
I know how to work a bond! A freakin bond!
Now I can create one with Bee and send so much hate to him!
"But," here we go. "Not everyone will allow you in their sparks, sweetspark. Remember that."
Not if I force my way in-I mean I nodded in understanding.
Totally.
But what about the others?
Would the other Primes want to create a bond?
Why don't you ask?
I looked up at the towering Prime in shock.
"W-What?"
I'm never gonna get used to that mind-reading thing.
Prima stood aside, allowing his siblings to stand in my view. I gave an unsure glance towards him.
Ok, so Prima offered...well really gave me a decision, but asking the others?
What if they say no?
What if they think I'm an idiot for even asking?
What if they get upset?
What if-
"We accept, Liza."
Huh?
A hand tapped my shoulder a few times to knock me away from my worrisome thoughts and direct my attention ahead.
In front of the rest of were the sparkly balls held in their outstretched hands. The same look and power Prima gave me.
"...what?"
"We accept your proposal." Grandpa Trion answered.
"But I didn't...how....you do? Are you sure?"
Bonded to the children of God?
Are they really willing to give a part of themselves to me? Do they really trust me that much?
"Of course we do, Liza. We are family."
