Chapter 125: Battles Against Your Own
_______________________________________________

Slamming a harsh fist onto the concrete, I flipped onto my back and glared harsh daggers at the sky.

You've got to be fragging kidding me. Why me? Why do I always have to be punished? It's always me. Every. Single. Time.

I released a heavy sigh when a whistling yellow bot stood over me, his hands resting on his hips as he looked me over.

:: uh...You good there pal?::

"Eh," I slowly turned my head to meet his gaze. "Why me Bee? It's always me. I swear if I get blasted out of the sky, one more time-"

"No time princess!" One moment I'm staring at lumpy clouds and the next I know I'm yanked to my feet and facing Hound. "You can have your therapy session later. Right now, we got bigger problems to deal with!"

Like how our ship, our only way of getting off this planet was blown out of the sky?

"And the others?" I glanced towards the explosion in the grassy mountains in the distance. Let's assume they're ok and not blown to smithereens as well.

"Ain't nothin' the boss man can't handle." Hound shifted his minigun against his side. Our worries are about getting that Seed outta here."

"You know I could always just fly that thing into the atmosphere, right?"

::Showoff::

I rolled my optics and nudged Bee aside. "Well, I could!"

"Hey, guys. Guys! Look!" Following Tessa's frantic point, I leaned over Hound's large figure to peer over the edge of the roof.

Oh good Primus. Those wannabe copies of...us....were Climbing the buildings. Wait...how many...there's more??

My mouth fell open as I scanned the buildings, my optics flickering across each copy...one, two, five, nine...

"Oh, this is bullslag!" Swinging around in anger I faced the human responsible for this! "Are you serious? Are you really that obsessed with us? You think we're just copy and paste, you piece of sh-"

A hand cut me off as I was jerked away from the cowering humans. ::Easy does it pal.::

"Let go!" I jerked my arms into Bee's chest and twisted wildly in his hold. "He's the reason why we're here in the first place! Bee lemme blast him, I promise we can do this by ourselves! We don't need him!"

Cade threw an accusing look at the man who somehow dared to look embarrassed. "I thought you said you had one prototype infected."

He cleared his throat awkwardly and directed his gaze. "Now he's got operational control of my other 50."

I shouted another curse at him.

Hound let out an amused scoff. "Agreed. Alright humies, let's move out! We'll cover ya! Most of ya at least." He shifted his weight before firing at one of the clones.

Once the humans were clear, I snatched away from Bee and transformed my arm into my blaster. My idiotic brother, however, grabbed me again and held my gaze with stern optics. ::Stop.::

"No," I freed myself from his grasp again. "You stop."

With a quick flap of my wings, I took to the sky and embraced the cool air overwhelming my senses.

Yes. Up here I was free. Up here I could be me. And I refuse to be left on human-watching duty, especially when I'm in the mood of accidentally letting one of their heads get blown off.
