Chapter 59: Sick Day
_____________________________________________See. Told ya it'll be quick.
No that was not quick.
But, unfortunately, ripping my brother's head is gonna take a while since a certain very tall 'bot who I call my father decides to keep getting in the way.
Yeah, he ain't gonna be big and bad for long.
So yeah, I hope my suspension journey and part of my monthly has been fun for you, but unfortunately, it has come to an end, and now I have to go back to that horrendous place called school.
Oh no.
I woke up this Thursday morning...wait, can you believe it? I woke myself up! I did it! Nobody had to come and hit me with a pillow! Celebration! Confetti! Cakes! Whatever!
So yeah, I woke up....for like four seconds, before I fell asleep again.
Once again, not a morning person. Or a normal person.
I know someone's gonna come to pour a quarter of the Pacific Ocean over my head in a moment, but dude, those seven minutes were worth it.
And let me tell you why those seven minutes were worth it.
I'm sick. Beyond sick. Sicker than sick. Just sick like a sick person.
My body isn't sensitive and vulnerable like the humans, so it's rare for me to fall ill.
But this is a serious thing. Very serious. This illness is so dangerous that it's life-threatening! Deadly!
I have a fever. Dramatic gasp.
Which is kinda a good thing cause hey no school.
But it's not just a normal fever. A fever hotter than the actual Sun. I was practically burning alive in my clothes! The sheets stuck to me like glue and my breathing was a bit hoarse from dehydration.
It felt like someone locked me in a small room next to boiling lava and hot steaming rocks then just forgot me overnight.
I just wanted to rip off my clothes and sit in the Arctic, but then I would get a cold. Not very smart.
I kicked the covers off me, but couldn't find myself getting up, so I just laid there and until someone recognizes my skeleton that's about to be shown after my skin melts into a steaming liquid.
Guess what? Primus decided to send a saver.
"Liza."
My ears picked up the heavy footsteps against the soft carpet, but I didn't bother to look to see who entered.
Kinda hoping it's Primus to come save me from a frying pan.
A large warm hand landed on my shoulder and gently shook me, rocking my small form back and forth.
"Little One, wake up. You must get ready for the morning and prepare for school." My father's baritone voice sounded through my ears.
Sure dad, let me just get dressed with the
burning fever I have."....eh."
My senses could already pick up the worry and concern radiating from him when I didn't move or respond. "Liza?"
He gently rolled me over and took in my ill state with worried eyes. I inhaled larger breaths of the air around me and laid my head on the cool cover of one of my pillows, occasionally wiping the mild sweat spilling down my heated face. "Are you alright, Liza? You appear to be ill."
