Elena's POV.

I woke up to see Kol staring at me, smiling. I laughed as I playfully hit his chest.

"Were you watching me sleep?" I asked, Kol grinned.

"Yeah, you looked peaceful." He replied, I rolled my eyes playfully.

I leaned up towards him, my lips meeting his lightly. We broke apart when my bedroom door was burst open, turning we saw Rebekah grinning at us. Kol groaned as he laid back down.

"Rebekah?!" Kol exclaimed, I smiled.

"Shut up Kol! Come on, Hope is up and I want everyone downstairs so she can open her presents" Rebekah said, before vamping off.

I climbed onto Kol's lap as I looked down at him.

"Come on, let's get downstairs before Rebekah comes back up and drags us down" I said, Kol rolled his eyes before sitting up.

"Do we have too?" He asked, I leaned down as my lips brushed his lightly.

"Yes, besides don't you want to know what I got you?" I replied, Kol pulled away.

"What did you get me?" He asked.

"You'll find out later tonight and don't worry, you'll love it" I said, winking at him as I got off him.

I walked over to my closet before pulling out some leggings and a dark grey jumper. Getting changed, I turned to see Kol already changed into some clean clothes. Pulling on my boots, I picked up Mystic and the bag of presents that I hid under my desk before I walked downstairs with Kol.

Once we got downstairs and into the lounge, Kol and I sat down on one of the couches, I got up and placed the presents that I bought everyone underneath the tree before sitting down beside Kol again.

I smiled as Rebekah began to pass around presents to everyone, I leaned my head against Kol's shoulder as I watched Hayley help Hope open her presents. I felt tears prick my eyes as I looked over at everyone, smiling and opening their presents. It was nice, I may have lost my biological family but I found another one. It's funny, I never thought I would be calling the Mikaelson's my family but here I was, surrounded by them and I couldn't be more happier.

I felt my phone vibrate beside as I picked it up, it was Alaric. I turned to Kol as I motioned to my phone before I stood up and made my way to a quiet part of the room, answering the phone call.

"Hey Ric" I greeted.

"Hey, Elena. Jo's here with me, we're just phoning to wish you a Merry Christmas. How's everything? How are you?" Ric said, I smiled.

"Hey Jo," I said.

"Hey Elena" She replied.

"Merry Christmas guys, I'm doing fine thanks, you? Everything's going great over here, I'm spending Christmas with my friends, well I should say family. I've grown to see them as such, they are currently opening their presents just now but I think we are going to be having Christmas dinner soon. What about you guys? How's everything going over at Jo's coven?" I added.
