Betty's POV:

I had just gotten on my motorcycle thinking about that boy. He was so handsome, but he was obviously a Northsider. Then, why was he still on my mind? I pulled up to the Whyte Wyrm and tried to forget about him for a while.

"Serpents! The Mayor couldn't meet with me today. But I will be going back on Wednesday next week to meet with her! This may be our chance at peace!" I shouted.

Some of the Serpents cheered and pumped their fists in the air in support but some of them just stood looking disapprovingly at me. Most of them were older and didn't think that peace was possible between the Northside and the Southside. I didn't care what they think when it comes to this. I know that we can come to some sort of agreement with the Northside. I'm the Serpent Queen and I'll do what I think is best for the gang.

"Is there anything I can do to help?"

I turned around to see the guy I saw earlier. Who was he? What was a Northsider doing here? How would he be able to help attain peace?

"What are you doing here Northsider? Don't you know it's dangerous in this part of town?" I asked him. Looking him up and down. He is pretty attractive. NO! Get your head away from there Betty. He's a Northsider. You're the Serpent Queen. You can never be together.

"I've been told that it's dangerous. Yes. But from what I just heard, you guys seem to be misunderstood and just want the same thing the Northsiders want. I mean, I can't speak for the entire Northside, but I can say that I just want peace between the two sides." He explained to me.

"Wow. Pretty bold of you to come here and try to help us. But what's in it for you? You Northsiders are all the same. Never do anything unless you can get something out of it. I've heard it all before." I told him.

"I don't want anything except for peace between each side. That's it. You may not know this about me, but I'm the All-American Boy Next Door. I can help you get peace. But only if you're willing to work with a Northsider. What do you say?" He asked me.

I have to say. This deal seems pretty legit. So I'll go along with it.

"All right. You got yourself a deal. What's your name Beanie?" I asked.

"Forsythe Pendleton Jones III. But everyone calls me Jughead. So, call me Jughead." He said.

"All right, Jughead. I'm Elizabeth. But call me Betty. Everyone does." I explained.

"Deal." He said.

We shook on it. I could tell he had one question on his mind.

"What?" I asked.

"Could I get your number? For contact reasons only. I want to be able to contact you if something happens with this." He explained.

"Alright," I said and put my number in his phone. He did the same with mine. We said our goodbyes and he left the Whyte Wyrm. He was so attractive. Jughead. What a great name. He really seems to want to help us. He is so sweet. Get your head out of the clouds Cooper! It's never going to happen between you and a Northsider.
