Betty POV:

"Toni! Can you come up to my office please?" I shouted.

I heard Toni running up the stairs.

"What is it, Betty?" She asked me.

"Remember that Northsider that was here?" I asked her.

"Yeah," She replied. "Why?"

"His dad was shot and killed. The witnesses say that it was one of us. He doesn't want to believe that. So I invited him here so we can talk about it. Maybe I can help him. So when he gets here let him in and bring him up please." I explained.

"You got it, Betty." She replied.

"Thank you," I told her.

"Anything for the Serpent Queen." As she said that she went back down the stairs and back behind the bar.

A few minutes later I heard a car pull up. I looked out my office window and saw that it was Jughead. He had his hands in his pockets and looked down towards the ground. He really seemed upset about his dad's death. I really hope I can help him. I love him so much.

A couple of minutes later Toni brought Jughead in and closed the door.

"Hey Jug. How're you holding up?" I asked him and pulled him in for a hug.

"Not great. I really miss my dad Betty." He told me. Fresh tears began to form in his eyes.

"I'm sure you do Jug. I just want you to know that I'm here for you. You don't have to go through this alone." I told him.

He thanked me and started sobbing into my jacket on my shoulder. I just held him and let him cry. I rubbed my thumbs up and down his back to help comfort him.

When he regained his composure he smiled softly. He thanked me again for being here for him. I told him that I always would be because I love him. He said he loved me too.

Then I noticed a playful smirk tugging at his lips. His eyes were full of mischief.

"What're you thinking Jug?" I asked. I'm pretty sure I knew the answer but I wanted to hear it from him.

"Just about how much I want to kiss you right now." He explained.

"As tempting as that sounds Jug, secret relationship remember," I said.

"Ah. Right. Well, I should be going. I love you, Betty." He said.

"I love you too." I said.

I watched him walk out the door of my office and down the stairs. Then I watched him get into his car and drive off. I'm really glad that I could help Jughead. I would do anything for him.
