Betty's POV:

The next day the doctor took my temperature and said that I had returned to normal. I was so relieved to hear that. The doctor said I was discharged and I could leave. The only problem was that my motorcycle was at Jughead's house. Luckily I was able to call him.

"Hey, Betty." He answered.

"Hey Jug. My temperature is back to normal so I'm discharged." I told him.

"That's amazing Betts." He said.

"Thanks. So can you come pick me up?" I asked him.

"Of course Betty. I'll be there as soon as I can." He told me.

"Thank you Juggie. I love you." I said.

"I love you too." He said and hung up.

A few minutes later Jughead pulled up in his car to come and get me.

We went back to his house so I could grab my motorcycle.

"Are you sure you should be riding your motorcycle after just getting out of the hospital?" Jughead asked me.

"I'll be fine. I'll call you when I'm at my trailer so you know that I'm home safe." I promised him.

"I'll hold you to that Betty." He laughed.

"I'm sure you will." I laughed.

We kissed and I started up my motorcycle. I quickly waved to him as I drove off.

"Yo Toni! I'm home!" I called out.

There was no answer. She must be at the Whyte Wyrm. I got back on my motorcycle and headed over there.

When I got there everyone embraced me and told me how worried they had been about me.

"While I'm thankful for the warm reception, we better get to work about how we're going to convince the mayor that we're not as bad as everyone thinks we are." I told them.

They all dispersed into groups and began discussing how we were going to do this. I crossed my arms and smiled with pride. Suddenly I saw Toni in my office with another Serpent. I wondered what they could be doing in there. I walked up the stairs to figure out what was going on. I knocked on the door and heard two feminine gasps.

Toni opened the door.

"Hey, Betty. What's uhh... What's going on? You must be feeling a lot better. Tell me about that." She said. Trying to change the subject.

"Don't try to change the subject on me, Toni. What are you doing here? With... Cheryl?" I asked.

"You may as well tell her T.T. She was going to find out sooner or later," Cheryl told Toni.

"Fine. Cheryl and I have been dating for a couple of weeks now." Toni explained.

"That's great Toni. I'm happy for you guys. But, from now on, if you're going to be having a makeout session please don't do it in my office." I said.

They agreed and walked out. That is, Cheryl walked out. Toni closed the door behind her and turned to face me.

"Okay. So now you know about me and Cheryl." Toni said.

"And...?" I asked.

"And... What about you and Jughead? You two seem pretty close." Toni said.

"What do you mean Toni?" I asked her.

"I saw the way he looked at you at the hospital the other day. Is there something going on between you two?" She asked.

"Truth? Yeah. We've been dating for a few days now. Since the day I went to the mayor's office." I confessed.

"Really? But... He's a Northsider. How do you know he can be trusted?" She asked.

"I think his dad might have been FP Jones. Former leader of the Serpents. He disappeared a while back before I became the Serpent Queen. Apparently, he started living on the Northside with his wife and son. His wife died when his son was 5 years old. And now since Jughead's dad has been killed Jughead is living on his own." I explained.

"So you think that his dad is the FP Jones?" Toni asked me. "Serpent legend FP Jones?"

"Jughead found a Serpent jacket in his dad's closet. Jughead and I had been looking through photos that had FP in them. In one FP was turned away from the camera and I saw a Serpent jacket on him. Jughead went upstairs to look in his dad's closet. Jughead told me that he had never been allowed in his dad's closet growing up. When he came back down he had a Serpent jacket in his hand." I explained.

"Wow. So his dad really was FP Jones. He was one of the best leaders the Serpents have ever had. Except you of course Betty." Toni said.

"Exactly. But now FP is dead. The witnesses said that it was one of us. But I know for a fact that no one of us would kill FP. I've heard a lot of great things about FP since I became queen." I said.

"So who do you think did it Betty?" She asked me.

"I have no idea," I told her.

But I was determined to find out.
