The next morning.
Betty's POV:
Jughead and I woke up to a screaming Anna. I got out of bed and ran over to her room. I picked her up and held her in my arms.
"It's okay Anna. It's okay mama's here." I said to her.
I felt her forehead to see if she had a fever. She was pretty warm. I walked back to mine and Jughead's room.
"Anna has a fever." I said. I knew I looked worried.
"Okay. Do you want to take her to the clinic to see if she has an ear infection or something?" Jughead asked.
"I think that's a great idea." I said. We quickly grabbed her diaper bag and got into the car.
I got her buckled into her carseat while she was still screaming.
"It's okay baby. It's okay. Mama's here. We'll help you feel better baby." I said to her. I turned around, sat down and got myself buckled in. As soon as I did we were off to the hospital so we could see what was going on with our little princess.
When we got there we got checked in but we had to wait in the lobby before we could get into the urgency room. I just held Anna and bounced her up and down in my lap, trying to get her to calm down.
"Let me take her." Jughead said.
I did and he softly started singing in Anna's ear. He was singing You are My Sunshine to her. She eventually calmed down and started smiling up at him.
"You're so good with her." I told Jughead.
"Well I love this little peanut." Jughead said.
The nurse came out and asked, "Anna Jones?"
Jughead and I stood up with Anna in Jughead's arms.
"Come on back." She said and we followed her.
Once we got in the room she started asking the basic check-up questions first.
"So she woke up with a fever this morning?" The nurse asked.
"Yeah. She woke up my husband and I when she started screaming. I picked her up and felt her forehead. She was pretty warm this morning." I said
"Did she have any other symptoms?" The nurse asked.
"None that we know of." Jughead said.
"Well, I'm going to take a look in her ears to see if there are any signs of an ear infection." She said and shined the light in Anna's ears.
"No sign of infection, but I will go grab the doctor so he can do some more checks on her." The nurse said and left.
I was fidgeting with my fingers. I'm so worried about Anna. Jughead put his left hand on my right hand. He looked at me with a sincere smile. I smiled back because he always knew how to make me feel better. Then the doctor came in.
"So this is Anna?" The doctor asked.
"Yes it is." Jughead said.
"The nurse said that there were no signs of an ear infection but I'm going to check her heart rate and breathing to see if she as any flu-like symptoms or anything."
He put the wrap around her arm and put the stethoscope underneath it. He listened to her heart beat for one minute.
"Heart rate is normal. So I'm going to check her breathing next." The doctor said.
The doctor put his stethoscope in different spots around her back so he could listen to her lungs.
"Lungs sound healthy. It's probably just the common cold. Get her some cold medicine and get her to take some naps. She should start feeling better in just a few days. If not, come back and we'll check her again." The doctor said.
"Thank you doctor." I said.
Jughead thanked him too and we went back home.
I looked through the medicine cabinet and noticed that we didn't have any infant medicine. I told Jughead and went to the drug store to get some. I came back and helped Anna take her medicine.
She started yawning so I put her down for a nap.
I sighed and sat on the couch.
"Are you okay honey?" Jughead asked me.
"Yeah. I'm just relieved that Anna probably just has the flu and nothing serious." I said.
"So am I." Jughead said.
"Do you think we could just put on a movie and cuddle for a while Jug?" I asked him.
"That sounds like a great idea Betts." He said.
We picked out a movie that we had both seen before and cuddled up in a blanket.
About two hours later Anna woke up crying.
"I'll get her." I said.
"No I'll get her. You look exhausted. I'll take her to the park or something so you can get some sleep." Jughead said.
"I'm fine. Besides, we need a family day so let's all go to the park." I said.
"Are you sure you're not too tired Betty?" He asked me.
"I'm sure." I told him.
"Okay. If you're up for it, let's get her and go to the park." He said.
I smiled and kissed him. He went up to get Anna ready. It's late fall so he put her in a warm purple coat that we had gotten her. He also put a cute little pair of mittens on her hands. Then we were off to the park.
We spent about an hour there before Anna started getting sleepy. We went home and I put her down for a nap. As soon as she was asleep I walked out and started yawning myself.
"You tired Betts?" Jughead asked me.
"Just a little." I admitted.
"Why don't you go lie down? It's 11:45 so I'll start making something for lunch. You just get some sleep honey." Jughead told me.
"You'd really do that?" I asked him.
"Of course," He said. "I love you."
"I love you too. You're the best husband ever." I said and kissed him.
"That's what I'm here for. Now go get some sleep." He said. I laughed and went upstairs. As soon as my head hit my pillow I fell asleep. I guess I was more tired than I thought.

Jughead's POV:
I love my little family. Even if Anna isn't feeling well. Since Betty was sleeping I started making lunch. I just made some corn dogs, tater tots, and vegetables. Something quick and easy. It only took about twenty minutes to make. I made myself a plate and ate. Betty and Anna were still sleeping so I just let them sleep. I didn't know when they were going to wake up so I put the corn dogs, tater tots, and vegetables in separate containers for later. Then I decided to watch something on TV for a while. What I saw on the news made my jaw drop!
