We looked into each other's eyes for what felt like an eternity. Then Chloe put her hand on my cheek while I put mine on hers. We leaned in close and kissed. Luckily neither of our parents were there because I didn't want this moment to end.

But then my parents burst in.

"Oh my God! My parents are here. One of them must've called Sweet Pea asking where I was!" I said, starting to panic.

"Okay. Okay. Breathe. Anna, breathe." Chloe said to me. She grabbed my shoulders and got me to breathe.

"ANNA MARIE JONES!" My mom shouted.

"Hey... Mom." I said awkwardly.

"Don't "hey mom" me right now!" My mom yelled.

"You're coming home right now!" My dad yelled.

"Fine," I said, tears rolling down my face. "Bye Chloe," I whispered.

"Bye Anna." She said, tears streaming down her face as well.

"James go up to your room!" My dad yelled at my brother.

James knew dad was mad so he ran upstairs and went to his room as he had been told.

"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING ANNA?!" Mom shouted.

I just looked down at my chest.

"ANSWER YOUR MOTHER!" Dad scolded.

"I don't know. I got a call from Chloe Blossom-Topaz asking me to meet her at the Wrym and I didn't want to wake you guys up to tell you so I left." I explained.

"Just because you get a call from Chloe doesn't excuse the fact that you left without telling us or asking permission!" My dada yelled.

"I know dad. I'm sorry." I said, tears forming in my eyes.

"You're grounded. Two weeks. No cellphone, no tablet, and the laptop is only to be used for school and homework. And until your grounding is up, you will not become part of the Serpents." My mom said.

"But mom..." My mom cut me off.

"No butts Anna. Hand over your phone and get your tablet from your room and bring it to me. Bring your laptop out here as long as your at it Anna." Mom said.

"Mom..." I said, as more tears streamed down my face.

"I don't want to hear it. Bring your stuff down and then go to your room and stay there until dinner." She scolded me.

I said nothing else as I ran upstairs to my room to get the things that my mom told me to get and brought them back down to her. Then I went back to my room and just sobbed. I stayed there past dinner time because I was so mad and upset.

Betty POV

"I can't believe her! I can't believe she'd just leave without telling us!" I yelled when Jughead and I were getting ready for bed.

"Betty. I know you're mad. But it doesn't help to go to sleep mad. You'll just wake up mad at her. Then these next two weeks will be unbearable for the rest of us." Jughead explained to me.

I sighed.

"You're right Jug." I said defeated.

"Of course I am. Now let's get to bed. It's getting late." He said to me.

"Okay. Goodnight Juggie." I said tiredly.

"Goodnight Betts." He said, with a slight yawn.

"I love you Jug." I whispered.

"I love you too Betty." He whispered and fell asleep.

I fell asleep a minute later with a smile on my face.
