Seven months later.
Betty's POV:
I felt like I was going to pop any day now. The baby is due in just three days and every morning I felt nauseous. Luckily Jughead was there with me every step of the way.
Then I started feeling contractions.
"JUGHEAD!" I screamed.
"Betty! What is it?!" He asked me.
"Contractions are starting. AAAAHHH!" I screamed.
"Let's get you to the hospital. I'll grab the go bag, you just get in the car and take deep breaths." He instructed.
I did as I was told. I waddled to the car and tried to focus on my breathing. Trying to make sure it was nice and deep. Jughead ran to the car with the bag and started the car. He wents as fast as he could without going over the speed limit of course. He just kept telling me to keep breathing.
"Try to match my breathing honey." He said.
I did my best. Then there was another contraction and I screamed in pain. Then my water broke on the seat.
"JUG! MY WATER BROKE!" I screamed.
"Hang on honey we're almost there!" He exclaimed.
We soon pulled up to the hospital.
"My wife is in labor. Can we get her into a room?" Jughead asked the receptionist.
"Yes. About how close together are her contractions?" She asked.
"About three minutes apart." I answered.
"Okay let's get you into a room and laid down. Are you the father?" She asked Jughead.
"I am." He answered.
"Okay. Hold her hand and follow me to a delivery room." The receptionist told him.
He did as he was told. He also rubbed his thumb back and forth on the back of my hand in hopes of helping. And it did. Until I felt another contraction which caused me to scream in agony.
"Looks like they're getting closer together. Let's hurry and get her into a room. Just right in here. I am going to need her to change into a gown for while she's here. Can you help her with that?" The receptionist asked Jughead.
"Yes I can." He said and he helped me into a gown. He then got me into the bed.
I could feel hot tears streaming down my face because of the pain. But I knew Jughead was there with me so I knew that I would be alright.
The receptionist said that she would go get a nurse to help me and left the room.
"Jug. It hurts." I said.
"I know baby. I know but you're doing great. This is our baby and I'll be here with you every step of the way. I won't leave you. I promise. I'll be right here." He told me.
I thanked him. Then I groaned because of contraction pain.
Jughead's POV:
I hated seeing Betty like this. In pain. I knew she was scared. I'm scared too. But I didn't want to let it show in front of Betty right now because she is in so much pain. She is bringing our baby into the world. I have to be strong for her.
Then the nurse came in with the doctor.
"How are you doing Mrs. Jones?" The doctor asked her.
"I'M IN SO MUCH PAIN!" She screamed.
"Okay. We're going to put you on an IV which will help with the pain." The doctor said as the nurse stuck the IV in my arm.
"I'm going to need you to keep breathing Mrs. Jones. It will help with the delivery." The doctor instructed her.
