The Shredder Strikes Part 1

I waited in the shadow.

Raph looks around. I jump out and tackle him. Our blades hit. "You shouldn't be playing with weapons little lady," He said. "Say who? You are not the boss of me" I said as I push back. He struggle when suddenly he lost it. I grab his weapon and walk back.

He chuckled then ran toward me. He grabbed my arm, making me hit his chest holding our weapon in the air. "You should be careful," he said and I grin. "Of course...hotshot, "I said, whispering the last part. He blushes then raises my knee, hitting his stomach. 

He walks back and grins. "You know what I like best about weapons practice? The weapons" I said as I play with Raph sais. Someone grab it and those it back at him. "Too bad you're stuck with those lame toothpicks, and not a real weapon like the nunchucks, "Mikey said. 

Donnie uses his bō to sweep Mikey's feet out from under him. "Sorry, Mikey. But the staff is where it's at"He said as I chuckle. "Boys... And girl. Put away the toys. Hi~yah! Double is the only way to play!"Leo said. He managed to take them down and he glared at me.

We circle each other and he strick first. I block his attack. We struggle to gain power and I look at my feet. I chuckle and tap, sending a wave. It made Leo trip and I went to grab his sword. He put his leg up to make me fall to the other side.

I landed safely and threw my dagger at him. He used his sword to aim it in another direction. I threw my other dagger and ran toward him. I jump and kick him. Wait...why didn't he fall? He chuckle and show then he caught my leg. No way! He let go and I fell on my butt.

"What did I tell you? Double katana? Pretty sweet, huh?"Leo said. "Nice one, Leo," Donnie said. "Lucky," Raph said. "Not so lucky for my tail. It just got kicked"Mikey said. "I was so close!"I groan and Leo helps me up. "Color me impressive. You were really good" He said.

"Really?"I said. "Yeah. You only train for a few weeks and you are almost good at us" He said. I silently scream as I jump up and down. "Well fought, Leonardo"Splinter said. We line up in front of Master Splinter. "Thank you, Sensei," Leo said as he bow a little. 

"You have won, but do you know why?"Splinter said. "Well, I have the superior weapons. I read where sword master Musashi said the katana blade holds the soul of steel and is the truest guide to the warrior's way. Which is kind of how I feel"Leo said. 

"Many things are said, but few are true"Splinter said. "Huh?"Leo said, confused. "Master Splinter's got that look," Raph said. "I think somebody's gonna get it," Donnie said and Mikey chuckles. "Michelangelo!"Splinter said. "Huh?" he said. 

"Do you think I am funny?"Splinter said. "Um, yeah. I mean, sometimes. There was that time you told that joke about the ox and the sparrow. It wasn't really a joke, but it was funny and—"Mikey said and Donnie elbows him. "Oof! I mean, no, Master Splinter" He said.

"Ah. Leonardo, attack me with your katana" Splinter said. "Master Splinter, I..."Leo said. 'Do it... now!"Splinter said. Leo slices down at Splinter, who catches the blade between his hands. We gasp. How was he able to do that? I want to learn that!

"Is this the great and glorious weapon of which you speak? Helpless before an old rat such as myself? Again, with both!"Splinter said. Leo attacks and Splinter parries each strike by using just his walking stick, wielded in one hand with the other behind his back. 

Whoa...he is so cool! Splinter easily disarms his son before pressing the end of his stick to Leonardo's chin and lifting his head. "In the hands of a true ninjutsu master, anything can be a deadly weapon," Splinter said. The others laugh.

"Remember, a weapon is only as good as the arm that wields it, Leonardo"Splinter said then without looking, he throws the stick directly into the center of the punching bag. I gasp then clap my hand. I can't wait to learn that!
