"Doc, there is something going on with her," Gabriel said as he plopped down in Doc Warren's office chair and sighed in frustration.
"What do you mean?" Doctor Warren asked as he set his paperwork down to give them his undivided attention. "Is she slipping into depression?"
"We don't know for sure," John admitted. "At times she is starting to show signs of having her fire back and then at times she still a meek little sub that is scared to state her opinion."
"And now she's trying to move out," Jason sighed in frustration. "When we asked her about why she wanted to move out of our place she just said it wasn't her place."
"Well she's right, it's not," Doc shrugged, "That still doesn't explain what you mean there is something going on with her."
"What do you mean she is right?" Gabriel asked. "We've told her she can do whatever she wants to the place, we don't mind and yet she hasn't done anything besides fix up the library."
"Because it isn't her place to decorate," Doctor Warren shrugged. "It's your place."
"But we've told her to make it her place," John said, "It's just as much her place as it is ours."
"No, it isn't," Doc shook his head. "Think about it Boys. Whose name is the deed? Not hers, that's for sure. Has she brought any men over? We already know the answer to that, and yet she knows for a fact that all three of you have brought numerous women over to that place you are having her stay at. Why would she think that place was hers when it stinks of your conquests?"
"So, what are you suggesting, Doc?" Jason asked. "Finding a completely new place, move there, and putting it in her name?"
"I'm not suggesting," Doc shook his head, "I'm telling you, if you don't want her to leave, then this is what you need to do to give her a sense of security, being wanted, and belonging."
"Then that is what we will do," John nodded. "We will start looking immediately."
"Other than you being ignorant to what she is blatantly," Doc chuckled, "how is she doing?"
"When she is at work she is almost like her old self," John admitted, "She has no problem back talking our competition and putting people in their place, but she is still unsure of doing it to us without fear of repercussions. We are still working on that. Her physical wounds are healed but her mental ones," he shook his head.
"Bring her in," Doc Warren nodded, "I will talk to her and see if we need to make some adjustments to her medication."
"Thanks Doc," Gabriel nodded. "For everything."
"Of course," Doc Warren smirked, "I like her."
The guys left and headed back to the office. Just as they walked in, they froze, Diana wasn't at her desk. "Where is she?" Jason asked as John pulled out his phone.
"Henry," John said then got quiet. "Got it." He hung up his phone and sighed in relief. "She is back at the house, she told Henry she wasn't feeling well so he took her home. He said she is asleep in her room."
"I'll call Doc so he can swing by and check on her when he isn't busy," Gabriel said taking his phone out of his pocket.
"We are leaving after we are done with these stupid ass meetings," Jason said as he grabbed the binders off Diana's desk.
A few hours later they left the building and headed to the mansion. John called both Gabriel and Jason and put it on speaker since he was driving, "We need to find the time to find a new place for all of us and look into what we need to do to make sure everything is in her name."
"I can't believe we were stupid enough to not realize what she meant when she clearly said it wasn't hers," Gabriel growled. "We are goddamn idiots."
"Has Doc already been by to see her?" Jason asked, "I haven't heard from him or Henry yet."
"I haven't heard anything yet either," Gabriel and John said in unison.
"I'll call Doc," John said as he pulled off the highway.
"I'll call Henry," Gabriel muttered.
"I'll head to the store and pick up some things for her," Jason said hanging up the call.
Just as he was pulling into the store Jason's phone went off, "Doc is with her now," John said gruffly. "She has the flu."
"Fucking hell, okay," Jason said heading to the medicine section. "I'll grab stuff. Guess this will give us more time to find the perfect place for us."
