"Good thing I got a picture of it before you destroyed it," John said as he slipped his phone into his pocket. She turned and glared at him. He held up his hands, "I only meant that it will help in getting a restraining order on him from the police."
"That piece of paper isn't going to do shit and you fucking know it," She sighed as she picked up another one of her favorite shirts only to find it cut into pieces. "All my clothes, my books."
"Sir, we have surveillance footage of him breaking into her apartment," Henry said as he held out his phone so one of them could take to the security at her apartment. "The police are on their way as well."
"He's just going to bail out," She wiped the tears from her face. "I'm just glad I don't have any work files here. Oh god my laptop," she shoved past them and rushed into her office. "Fucking hell," She sighed in defeat seeing the shattered laptop on the floor next to the broken desk and yet more of her books and bookcases destroyed. "Damn I just bought that one too," She muttered as she picked up the ripped open package and kicked a few broken shelves to the side. "I didn't even get to put it together yet."
"We'll get you a new one Luv," Jason said looking around. "New books too."
"You can't replace all my books Sir," She shook her head. "Some of those books aren't being published anymore and they held childhood sentimental value. You can't replace that."
"No, we can't," Gabriel said shaking his head, "But you still have your memories and that's more valuable. You hold onto those memories while we help you start over and create new ones."
"Ma'am?" a police officer said walking into the office. "Do you know who did this?"
"Gregory Baker, her ex," Jason answered for her. "She just left him because he was abusive and he didn't like her leaving him."
"Do you have any proof of that?" the officer asked looking up from taking notes to see who answered, "Oh....Mr. Williams."
"Yes, we do," John said coming over to them making the officer pale when Gabriel joined as well. "Henry can you show you video footage of him breaking in as well as the photos and video he took when he got the notification of her apartment door being opened while she was still at work."
"You have cameras in my apartment?" She barely whispered in shock.
"Later Mi Amor," Gabriel hushed her then smirked at her glare.
Henry walked over and held out his phone then escorted the officer away. "We will discuss the cameras later Sweetheart, let us handle this," John said causing her to huff. "We never watched, it was strictly for safety measures."
"Although we already know you never had anyone at your apartment since you moved in so there's no reason for you to get upset really," Jason smirked.
"It's called invasion of privacy," She glared. "I don't like the thought or idea of you being able to watch me while I was in my apartment and the fact you know I never had anyone over."
"I already told you it was strictly for security," John sighed, "and we never watched, we only glanced if we got a notification of your door being opened in order to make sure you got home safe, that's it."
"I still don't like it," She glared and crossed her arms then sighed, "Although I can't deny that I'm grateful also due to all this shit. Just let me know when I find another apartment if you have cameras in it as well never mind I already know you will."
"Ma'am?" The officer asked coming back over to her. "Is there anywhere you can stay tonight? It's not safe for you to stay here while we search for him."
"She will be staying with us," John said directly.
"My honest opinion, that is probably the safest place for you to be Ma'am," The officer nodded taking down some more notes. "If there are any questions—"
"You can call one of us," Gabriel interrupted and the officer nodded.
"I will leave and go file all this," The officer said shutting his pad then turned to leave.
"I am not staying with you," She glared once the officer was out of earshot. "I will just go get a hotel."
"Then we will stay with you at the hotel," Jason said sternly. "Which hotel would you like so we can go ahead and book a reservation?"
"No," She shook her head. "I want to be alone. I need to be alone."
"Then be alone either at the hotel or our place but either way you will not be completely alone, Sweetheart," John said. "He is still out there and we will not take the risk of him hurting you."
She saw red and lost it, "If you are that god damn worried about me then why don't you three fucking use your god damn resources and handle it like the fucking Trident Kings mafia leaders you fucking claim to be then instead of relying on the fucking police to handle it! Yeah I know about it and you definitely aren't that fucking scary and are fucking useless if you are going to rely on the fucking police to handle all this fucking crap. You aren't fucking mafia leaders, you are shit! Leave me the fuck alone!" She grabbed her purse and stormed out of the apartment leaving them standing there with their mouths hanging open.
