"We sold the company," Gabriel repeated as he took a drink of his coffee. He started mentally counting down until it registered in her brain what he just said.
"You did what?" She asked dropping her fork. "What in the world caused you to do that?"
"There was no reason for us to be there without you," Jason tried to explain even though he knew she wasn't mentally ready to hear the truth.
"Don't you dare try to say you sold your company just because of me!" She shouted as she stood. "You worked so hard to build that company and then you just....you just....sold it like it was nothing? Are you out of your goddamn minds? What the fuck is wrong with you three?"
"We couldn't be there without you," Jason tried explaining again. "We've told you numerous times that we couldn't run it without you and we weren't lying. We couldn't focus and were constantly getting things mixed up and well, hell it was just shit."
"But....but.....all the hard work," she sighed as she sat back down feeling drained. "The plans for the ocean and recycling and?" She was starting to get a headache again.
"The company we sold it to will keep doing that," John said coming over to her. "We just couldn't focus on that work when we kept trying to find you Sweetheart. You are more important than that company."
"But all the hard work," She pouted.
"Will still be taken care of Luv," Jason said. "We sold it Noah. He promised to keep caring for the ocean and doing everything possible to protect it. We just needed to focus on finding you and bringing you home to us where you belong. We couldn't be there without you."
"But now you don't have any legal clean businesses," She shook her head.
"We have some," Gabriel said shrugged, "They just aren't anything you need to focus on."
"What am I supposed to do now?" she asked confused. "I'm your personal assistant and now I don't have a job to go back to once I'm healed."
"You are more than our personal assistant Luv," Jason said softly. "Haven't you realized that by now?"
"You have to have, Sweetheart," John whispered. "You even told that bitch that we wouldn't destroy the world for just anyone."
"But....but.....but....," She tried to protest and shook her head.
"But nothing, Sweetheart," John said, "you are our queen."
"No," she shook her head, "I can't be a queen. I'm a nobody. I don't like people, I like books and being inside away from everyone and..." She started to gasp, "I can't be a queen, I can't. I can't."
"Okay, Sweetheart, okay," John said trying to get her to calm down. "We don't have to have this discussion right now."
"Get the company back," She tried to protest. "I can fix everything, just get it back."
"We won't do that Luv," Jason shook his head. "Noah is doing a good job with it. We know it is a drastic change and you don't like change but it's for the best. We need to be home with you to help you heal and Noah needed a new job to take over. He is almost as passionate about the ocean as we are so he will be good for the company, and it gives us the time to be here with you where we are needed. But we do have another idea that you can run for us."
"You do?" She whispered as she listened to John's heartbeat. "A nice, clean, legal business? I don't want any part of that other stuff you do."
"Yes Mi Amor," Gabriel nodded, "you could start that animal rescue you always wanted."
"What?" She asked shocked. "What are you talking about?"
"We can help you start that animal rescue you always wanted to have," John explained as he rubbed her back softly. "You have plenty of land do so and we have the money to help get you started. Everything will be in your name so it will all be yours and it will be a legit animal rescue so it will have no ties to our other businesses other than money wise but it will all be legit, we promise. We can have one part that's for dogs and cats and such and then towards the back can be those horses you always talked about. If you want a damn zoo then we will figure out how to get you a zoo."
"Why?" she asked as she pulled away from them. "Why are you doing this for me?"
"Because we told you, Luv," Jason said softly. "You are our Queen."
