"Henry," John growled and Henry appeared, "Find everything you can on Gregory Baker." Henry nodded then left the office. "We have to do something."
"We can't let her know," Jason nodded. "She wants to handle this herself."
"So what are we going to do then?" Gabriel asked.
"We'll figure it out," John said as he leaned back in his chair and began thinking. "But one thing for sure is that we have to keep reassuring her that she has every right to end that contract if she wants, she has the final say not him."
"Also need to do something about that fucking loser Steve that keeps hitting on her," Jason said as he looked at the camera that was in Gabriel's office, "At least she finally eating."
John and Gabriel smirked as they watched her eat while reading. "I bet she doesn't even realize she's doing it," John chuckled.
"Of course not," Gabriel shook his head, "She's too into her book. That just means she's going to be pissed when she does realize it."
"I don't care as long as she doesn't skip anymore meals," Jason shrugged before getting his food out to start eating. "She's too damn skinny as it is."
"We can always have that Steve guy transferred to a different building," John offered and they nodded. "We'll do it though so she doesn't know."
A few hours later she burst into the office and glared at them, "That wasn't a nice trick to pull on me."
"Are you feeling better though?" John asked and she huffed then crossed her arms. "That's all that matters then."
"Just don't do it again," She sighed in defeat.
"We will do it as many times as we see fit if it means helping you stay healthy," Jason shrugged. "Skipping meals is not good for your body or mind."
"Now, are you ready to go home Mi Amor?" Gabriel asked and she nodded. "Good, go gather your things, we will grab your book bags."
"I can do it," She shook her head. "I know you have to get ready for the party."
"We are taking you home," John said shaking his head. "We aren't going to leave you home alone in case that fucker shows back up."
"We aren't going to the party," Jason said grabbing his jacket. "You need us more."
"I just need to be alone," She shook her head as she slipped her jacket on.
"Then you can be alone with us in the apartment," Gabriel said and she looked at him confused. "We will be quiet while you do whatever. We aren't leaving you alone with the possibility of him coming back and trying to dominate you again."
"But he has the right," She frowned. "He didn't sign the release paper."
"That paper doesn't mean shit Luv," Jason scoffed. "I mean it does but it doesn't. It ends the moment the sub says they have had enough and want out. The moment that happens a true Dom ends the relationship and sets the Sub free. That man is not a true Dom and is just trying to control everything. When those kinds of fakes lose the power they are unpredictable and we aren't going to risk you getting hurt because he's a prick."
They walked her to her car and groaned when they realized her tires were slashed. "Seriously?" She shook her head. "Why is he doing this?"
"Because he wants to keep you and is mad you don't want him anymore," John said truthfully.
"Sirs, Ma'am?" Henry said coming over to them and hung up his phone. They turned to look at Henry. He frowned, "I'm sorry Ma'am but your apartment has been broken into and trashed."
"What?" She gasped and felt sick to her stomach. "No, you're lying."
"I wish I was Ma'am," Henry said as he opened his text messages then handed her his phone.
"No," She bit back a sob as she swiped through the pictures showing her apartment in ruins. "No, I don't believe it. It's not real," She whispered as she started shaking. "I have to see for myself."
"I don't think that's a good idea Sweetheart," John said placing his hands on her shoulders.
"I want to go home," She growled. "I have to go home."
"Let's just take her," Gabe said, "This is something she has to see for herself."
"Fine," John sighed and led her to their cars. She got in the car with Henry much to their dismay.
They pulled up to her apartment complex and she started shaking as they rode the elevator to her level. She stepped out and frowned seeing a few of her bosses other bodyguards standing in front of her door. They moved out of her way as she approached them. She gasped seeing her door on the floor and her living room absolutely destroyed. Her couch was flipped over and her paintings that she had done were slashed. What broke her though were her books were ripped apart and thrown everything, spines broken and covers discarded like trash. She rushed to her room and a strangled gasp escaped her mouth as she saw more of her books completely destroyed. She picked up a complete collection Edgar Allen Poe's work and wiped a tear when she realized the cover was barely hanging on and the spine was sliced so it wouldn't hold the few pages that were even still together.
She turned to see her bosses standing in the doorway shaking in anger. Something red caught her eye and she turned to see her mirror on her dresser still in pristine condition except there was red lettering on it from her favorite lipstick. This is your punishment for trying to top from the bottom Little Girl. You are mine until I say otherwise.
She picked up a broken snow globe that was by her feet and threw it at the mirror shattering it into a million pieces like her heart was feeling now.
