The day turned out to be much different as Callie was so happy that she would be living with Julius, Tess and maybe even Lena. She wasn't sure about Lena, though, since she knew the woman was Warbucks' lady, and she was so in awe of her and her beauty that she wasn't sure what to even say. Callie didn't want to say the wrong thing, and heck, she might have already opened her mouth too wide, but she admired the woman, her beautiful clothes and her glowing skin. She was very radiant, so kind, and all Callie wanted to do was write a song about her.
"That girl is pure evil! Olive! I knew it!" Julius says as everyone is sitting around his coffee table including Frank, Jr. who had just shown up after running a few errands.
He was toasted and growing anxious by the day as his sister was coming in less than four days, and everyone could see it in his demeanor as he was twitching and running his fingers through his hair like he needed another hit and bad.
"Oh god, Olive? What she done now?" Franks asks smiling at Lena who winks at him as he shakes his head and runs his fingers through his blonde waves once more.
"She beat up Little Miss Brooklyn over here, aka Callie. Poor thing! Just look at her. We had to clean her up, Frankie!" Julius is super animated as he sips his cucumber water and wearing one of his new kimonos.
"I'm really okay, Julius. I can handle myself." Callie says as Frank rests his head in Julius' lap and they both share a joint.
Tess, herself, is enjoying a joint and has even touched a good amount of food which was unusual for her as Callie wolfs down another chicken wing.
"Sure you are, baby. Sure." Julius waves his hand as he continues to play in Frankie's blonde hair as Callie turns to look at Lena.
"So Miss Lena, do you live here? I mean do I get to see you everyday?" Callie stuffs her face with another dumpling unaware those were questions you just didn't ask as Julius gasps loudly and rather dramatically for Callie was completely unaware that you just didn't pry into Lena's life. At all. Even Tess knew that as she lit her second joint before devouring another plate of food.
As Lena puffs her smoke and puts it down in the ashtray she looks at the sweet girl as the room is dead silent now, and she can't help but smile at her. All night she had listened to Callie chat a bit about herself, and her love and desire to move to California and become a star. She did think it was rather sweet she had this dream, but at the same time she could see Callie had her head in the clouds for sure and that she was rather different, but innocent." I stay here mostly Sunday nights, suga. Sometimes a random night here and there. I do live here mostly, though."
"Oh, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't putting you out or anything. I...I want to make sure you have plenty of room, and..."
"Oh nooo, you ain't putting Queen Sheba out! I have plenty of room"! Julius says as he jumps up and grabs the container of noodles before breaking open a set of chopsticks. "Hand me the duck sauce, lovey!" He points to packets near Frank as he pushes them for Julius to grab.
Callie giggles now as she wipes her mouth. "Just making sure. Hey, Lena, if you ever need a neck massage or for me to run errands for you, I'm pretty good at that. Or I can read you guys horoscopes! I do moon signs and rising signs too. I mean," She blushes now. "All of you, too! You've saved my life I think."
Looking around the room, Lena continues to puff her cigarette as Tess finishes off her second plate of food. Julius is affectionately feeding Frankie some chicken lo mein noodles as he lays on his back, head in his lap, and Callie quickly takes a drink of water.
The young girl can't help but notice how close the two men are as she smiles at the two of them for she knew what gay was, and she really had no issue with it, but wondered if they were in a relationship.
