LENA POV

The morning had given me a massive headache, for the situation with Callie just didn't sit well with me. It just didn't, for I knew how Olive had been with her in the past. I knew that, yet I had chosen not to believe Callie, and why? Was I taking out my frustration from Stef onto her now? I knew that wasn't fair at all, and I had a lot to think about in regards to that.

PLUS, to top it off  I was irritated that  Stef was there and apparently fucking Warbucks STILL. The entire thing  was enough to make me lose my mind and I made sure once I was finished collecting all of the money that I quickly left to prevent another run in with her or Mike for that matter. I had meticulously packed up and put everything back neatly and left a note for Mike that everyone turned in what they were supposed to with stars next to the ones that had turned in more and said my goodbyes to Bruce.

Truthfully I had tried to handle it all the best way I knew how, and I had no earthly clue if he heard me or not. The shower had been running the entire time and I knew Mike was known to groom himself for awhile in there, but that heifer coming out like she owned that damn place yet again made me want to ring her neck.

She really knew how to put me in a fucking pickle, and she always tried her hardest to make me look like a fool, but I REFUSED to let her think she could snatch my job from me or push me off the top. Fuck her, because that was just not happening. Ever. I see no reason why Warbucks is so taken with her ass or anyone for that matter, but I knew better than to actually question him about it. I knew that would never fly, and so I'm left to have to deal with my own emotions in regards to that bitch.

As it nears past three, I finally make it back to Julius' hoping to brew some tea and have a rather quiet night, even if I had my doubts. I had to admit one thing about not having to work all the time, and having Mike treat me like gold was the fact that I didn't have to work the streets which was grueling. But, I no longer took my position up top for granted because I knew at any point if I pissed him off he'd knock me back down again.

Unlocking the door I I head inside with a few groceries and slide off my heels as I hear light music going on. Barbara Streisand and I knew all to well it was Julius as I sigh in relief.

"Hot Mama, how you doing?" He asks sipping on iced tea. "Are you okay, honey. I heardddd you know who was there giving you problems like she owns everyone." He says as I roll my eyes and start to put the things away for one thing was certain, any kind of news traveled through our circle like wildfire.

"It's fine. I handled it, honey. Don't worry. Where is um, Luciella?" I ask wanting to just change the subject.

"Oh she's auditing a class over at Hunter College. A medical one, thank God!!! Maybe I was finally able to talk some sense into that girl!! But I'm trying hard to get her to GO HOME. I'm exhausted, baby! I wasn't made for all this stress, AND Tessy headed out not too long ago with MISS BOSS LADY. Seems they were going to get food or something. Who knew?"

"Really?" I turn to look at him as I pull out the pitcher of iced tea I see he had made and pour myself a glass.

"YUP! They have become buddies it seems since she did MISS THANGS hair. Damn, I don't get it. I see no draw to Frank's sister. None," Julius sighs loudly as I take a seat at the table with him now.

"I don't know why Tess is hanging out with her. I don't get it at all, yet she won't give me the time of day anymore." I plop my feet up as he stares hard at me. "What?"

"Mm. Why do you think I want my sister to go home? Before she corrupts her, too. That girl corrupts anything she touches! And like I SAID! I don't get the draw to her ass! She's rude as hell! And the mouth on her!"
