Chapter 18

Ok, so lot's of secrets are revealed :) It's kinda short and soz for uploading after such a long time. I was ill :( but yh, vote/comment/fan and lemme noe wat u think ;)

Chapter 18

Aarons P.O.V

I walked into class just as the bell for registration rang. My form tutor looked up before going back to whatever he was reading as he waited for everyone to settle down. I took my seat next to a petite blond and got out a reading book. “Ok class, settle down. I’m going to take the register” he said typing on his keyboard. Everyone silenced after a while as he started calling out names. “Sara” he said. “Here” a dirty blonde replied.

“Aaron” he called. “Here” I sighed. After registration I checked my timetable: Art.

As I sat in my allocated seats and took out my art book I wondered if today Selena was here. It had been almost a week and she hadn’t been here. There had been rumors that she was in hospital after having an accident, some even said she fell off a cliff and died. However I refused to believe any of it, I could feel that she was still alive. After all, she was my mate. I could feel her pain through our bond but after she stopped coming to school our bond had faded for some reason and wasn’t as strong as it was before. I was really scared: Had she figured out she was my mate? Was she trying to block me out?The questions never stopped and I regretted not telling her the truth. Suddenly the door opened and whipped my head around thinking it was Selena but it was just another student.

Selena’s mums P.O.V

I went up to Selena’s room to pack some of her clothes. As I opened it, it hit me how much I missed my daughter. Even though I spent most of my time with her at the hospital I still wanted her to come home.  I opened her wardrobe and browse through it searching for her clothes. They all had a piece of black on them but I had to admit, some were pretty cute. I remembered when she had a phase in which she wore pastel colored clothes only. I picked out some black Capri pants, a black full sleeve t-shirt and some blackLevis. I put them in a rucksack with the food I had packed for her.

After leaving the house I drove quickly to the hospital and went straight up to her room. Selena was sitting in the bed, reading a book. She looked so peaceful and beautiful yet very pale. I had asked the doctor why she grew paler everyday but she said it was all to do with hormones. When I put down the rucksack she looked up with her honey brown eyes and smiled. “Hey honey, how are you feeling?” I asked her.

Selena’s P.O.V

“Much better but….a little different” I explained honestly. These past few days I had really started to appreciate my mother and realized I didn’t have to be so distant towards her if I didn’t want to let her in. These past few days I had changed in ways I couldn’t even imagine, I felt stronger and had new abilities like mind reading. I wanted to talk to Ethan right now so badly, I wanted to tell him what happened to me because he’s the only one who knew me but I couldn’t leave the hospital.

“How are doing Selena?” the doctor asked me.

“Great” I replied. She nodded and wrote down some things on her massive file.

“Ok, I have some good news for you” she said. I smiled, getting excited.

“You’ll be discharged today” she explained.

“Thank you so much” mum said. The doctor nodded.

“We started some of the paper work and will be done in a few. So start getting ready” she explained leaving the room. Mum took out some clothes and I went into the bathroom down the hall to change.

After I changed, I looked into the mini mirror hanging elegantly above the sink. In the span of a few days I had changed enormously. It was hard to recognize myself but not only did I look different on the outside, I also felt different……stronger inside. Mum knocked making me jump and I grabbed my hospital gown, following her down the hall. She packed all my belonging into the massive backpack and we waited for the doctor, silence overcoming us. “Mum” I said finally, breaking the heavy silence. She looked up at me with so much love in her eyes, it made me want to cry. “Yes sweetheart?” she asked me softly. I wanted to say so much but the only word which made its way from my mind to my mouth was “Thank you”

On the ride back home I gladly ate the food mum had prepared for me. It tasted diverse. I was so used to do the plain hospital food that I didn’t even realize how much I missed normal food. As I devoured my noodles mum smiled at me. “So what did I miss?” I asked her. She looked like a teenage girl getting ready to tell an amazing story about her summer holiday but instead settled for “Not much” I smiled and sunk back into the comfortable car seat.

When we got home I went straight up to my room, looking at my surroundings and noticing everything was right where I left it.

Ethan’s P.O.V

I could sense her arrival and debated on whether I should go to see her or not. As well as her wolf scent, I could also feel this stranger energy and was curious where it was coming from. In my wolf form, my senses were heightened and so I followed the strange energy to see where it would lead me. Strangely I soon arrived at Selena’s house. I wanted to go through the back door but her mother was in the kitchen. Therefore I switched into my human form and went up to the front of her house. I rang the doorbell and waited. Her mum opened and asked me who I was. “Hello, Mrs. McKenzie I’m here to see Selena. I’m her friend” I explained politely. She nodded before calling Selena. The energy was getting stronger and stronger and as Selena approached I could tell it was coming from her. I shot her a ‘we-need-to-talk’ looks before she took me upto her room.

She looked immensely unusual and her skin was very pale. I couldn’t tell why though. “Are you ok?” I asked her. She looked into my eyes and replied honestly with a ‘No’

“You see I’ve been changing. The stupid doctors don’t know what it is but I do. I’m going through the change.” She explained. I raise one eyebrow.

“But you’ve already gone through your lycanthrope change” I tell her, getting confused by the second.

“I dunno, I feel different as well and I’ve got new powers. I can read minds, not yours though. And I can hear stuff from far away. There are loads of other things I can do as well, it’s really weird. Am I turning into some kind of really really strong werewolf or something?” she asks me but I doubt it. We’re lycanthropes and we’re the strongest of all werewolves’. “I dunno” I answer her honestly but I can research it up” I offer. With that I leave the house in search for the man who has all the answers: Derek Wainscot.

Selena’s P.O.V

After having dinner I suddenly feel much drained and excuse myself. As I head upstairs and sit on my bed, a massive headache starts growing and I can hear all sorts of noises I couldn’t before. My feelings are a jumble; I’m scared yet excited of what has become of me. I grab a paracetamol and swallow it, it helps a tiny bit but not much so I decided sleep is the only cure. I lay in bed, and will sleep to overcome me.
