Chapter 28
My gray ice grey skinny jeans fit me like a glove and my crimson halter neck top complimented my shape. My blonde and black hair covered my neck like a shadow and framed my face. I wore a hint of makeup, mainly consisting of thick black eyeliner and mascara. The clock told me I had 2 minutes left before Scott came over. I slipped into my black suede strappy stilettos before grabbing my phone and heading downstairs. I grabbed my phone and made my way downstairs. The heels felt weird since I hadn’t worn them for quite some time but I could walk in them normally. Just as I was about to open the door, the doorbell rang. I opened it to see a grinning Scott.
He was dressed in a crimson silk dress shirt with a black waistcoat and black dress pants. His shaggy black hair was styled back neatly. After a good 10 minutes of gaping at him, I snapped out of my trance and stared into his mesmerizing greyish blue eyes. “Hey” he blushed looking away. “Oh....uh-uh...sorry” I stuttered, embarrassed. Then I followed him into his car.
10 minutes later we arrived at a fancy restaurant. I sat there frozen looking at the most expensive restaurant in town through the tinted front windows. “Oh no no, we are NOT going here” I exclaimed. He looked confused. “Why?” he questioned.
“Are you kidding me? That’s the MOST expensive restaurant in town!”
“Oh come on, it’s your last day. I want to make it memorable” he smiled.
“No!”
“Yes”
“No!” I protested. We kept at that for a solid 5 minutes before he forcefully dragged me out of the car and into the restaurant. As soon as he let go of me I was going to make for the door but one look at the restaurant stopped me. My mouth fell all the way to the plush carpeted floor. I took in the entire expensive interior which looked like those famous restaurants extremely rich people eat at. “Close your mouth sweetie, you’ll catch flies” Scott whispered into my ear laughing.
We sat down near a striking waterfall and scanned the never ending menu. Half of the foods listed on there, I’d never heard of in my entire existence. Suddenly a brunette wearing an astonishing white uniform popped up. “Welcome to Joël Robuchon. What would you like?” the overly friendly waitress asked. “What would you like?” Scott asked me.
“I’ll take whatever you have” I replied because I had no idea what to order, the choices were gigantic. He nodded and ordered for us.
The service was tremendous and our food arrived within a few minutes. The appetizing smell made me realize just how hungry I was. Scott grabbed a knife and fork and neatly cut his loaf of bread. I on the other hand just grabbed the loaf of bread in my hand and bit into it. I practically wolfed it down and blushed deep red when I caught Scott staring at me with an amused expression. He burst into fit of laughter causing me to blush deeper.
After eating my third meal I was practically full that my stomach couldn’t even take in water. I stood up from my seat, feeling an overly obese person and excused myself. I went to the bathroom, washed my hands. I was staring at my reflection in the shiny mirrors when I noticed the time, it was 6:55. I ran out the bathroom. “Hey, I think we should be going back now. It’s already 6:55” I explained. Scott nodded, paid for the bills and took me to his car.
When I got home mum was in the kitchen making something. “I’m home” I sang walking in and taking of my shoes. I set them down on the shoe rack and made my way into the kitchen. Mum was busily cooking. “What are you doing?” I asked, eyeing her in curiosity.
“Well, I’m making you some pasta for the journey” she explained. “Now hurry along, get ready Kristopher will be coming soon” she urged and ushered me out the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and went up to my bedroom. I changed into some jeggings, a long black tank top and my oversized navy blue hoodie which I bought from the men’s section. After that I reapplied my makeup and placed my phone and purse into my pocket. I grabbed my suitcase with ease due to my supernatural strength even though my human self would’ve found it a challenge lifting it.
Kristopher’s P.O.V
“So how’s Floren?” Catherine asked, referring to my wife.
“She’s fine” I replied.
“Tell her I said hi and that I’m sorry........for everything” she said, looking down in repent. I sighed.
“It’s alright Cat. The past is the past” I said trying to comfort her in some way.
Suddenly I heard footsteps approaching and turned to see Selena coming down the stairs. She was wearing a jeggings and a navy hoodie and she looked dazzling. I stood up from my couch. I’d never really paid much attention to my daughter whilst she was living with Catherine but now I regret not getting in contact with her sooner. She’d grown up to be a stunning young women and I was proud of her. Even though she’d changed her appearance to a more rebellious style her face still stood out and claimed her as innocent. I felt tears well up in my eyes so I quickly looked away, wiping my eyes furiously.
After eating a light meal we set of for the international airport of Washington.
Selena’s P.O.V
I watched through the heavily tinted glass windows as my hometown zoomed by. Aaron who was sitting beside me squeezed my hand lightly and I gave him a sad smile. A whole month. I’d have to stay in New York for a whole month and learn about my supernatural self. I didn’t really know what to feel, a jumble of emotions washed through me including sadness and anxiety.
We arrived at the Washington National Airport a while later. I’d never been to an airport before since I’d practically lived in Washington my whole life. Aeroplanes could be seen everywhere and there was a mass of people all around. I got out of the car and grabbed my suitcase. We walked towards a massive entrance where people were going with their luggage. Suddenly Kristopher stopped and turned around. “Ok, this is it” he sighed. I turned around and was flooded with hugs.
Once we were safely inside the plane I took out my phone. It felt weird sitting in an aeroplane, it was an unusual yet exciting experience. I checked my inbox to see a message from Aaron and Scott. Hey, have a safe flight. Xxx Aaron. I smiled. I’ll always be thinking of you xoxo~S was the message from Scott which made my heart speed up insanely. “Attention all passengers” a voice boomed from the speakers causing me to jump. “It’s time to switch of your phone honey” Kristopher informed from my side. I nodded and quickly switched off my phone. Suddenly the plane began to move on and I almost screamed. It then began to move faster and faster causing tears to spill from my eyes. I gripped the handles on the side of my seat as my stomach began to churn. Then the plane lifted of the ground as and I thought I was going to die.
