Galloping from the rooftops, we hit a dead end as the next building across is between a six-lane road. There's no way out but to go back, unless we jumped back down.

We can't even escape using teleportation as I'm currently in pain. We can't trace our Iratze just yet until we got the bullet out our backs.

"Guys!" Clary shouted as she run up behind us.

Noticing the kindjals in her hand, Jace threw a fist at her. Clary attempted to lunge an attack but Jace swat her hands violently, forcing her to let go one of her kindjals. Clary then kicked Jace by his knee, forcing him to drop down before swaying her weapon at Jace but he caught her arm, twisting it on the side before landing a punch on her stomach, making her stumble backwards.

"You need any help?" I query, smirking as I already know his answer.

"No... I got this." Jace growled, smirking.

From where I'm standing, it looks like he does. It was stupid enough for Clary to follow us here all by herself. I sat by a cement pod, entertaining myself of watching them fought one another. I tried to reach the wound on my back, hoping to dig the bullet out but unfortunately, I'm not as flexible as I've hoped.

Jace was able to render her unarmed. Clary landed a few punches on Jace stomach, face, and as well as taking advantage on Jace bullet wound but non affected him. Smirking, he strongly kick Clary on the stomach. Landing few more punches and kicks. Jace climbed up the edge of the roof just as Clary retrieved a blade in her holster.

Seeing this, I rapidly threw a knife, aiming it at the center of her palm. As she screamed in pain, Jace grabbed her by her throat pulling her up over the edge.

"I told you, I had it." Jace scowled at me as I join them, taking a place beside him.

"I know." I smiled, amusingly "But you're not the only one who should have all the fun."

"Guys, t-this isn't you." Clary voice out as she choke from Jace hold "I know you're still in there. I know you won't kill me."

I roll my eyes at her comment "Dude, either drop her or stab her. We have to go."

Who knows if the others meddlers has follow her.

"Jace, I love you..." Clary mumble. My guard rise up when Jace brought her closer to his face, making their lips close to each other.

"I don't love you..." Jace uttered, pure darkness in his voice, making me fall relax "...not anymore."

Opening his arms one more time, he smirked arrogantly at me as he know I got worried in the moment. Gazing back to Clary, he let go of his hold, practically throwing Clary off a five-story building like a piece of garbage.

Looking down, a sweet sound of a loud thud and smashing occurs as Clary fell on top of a car.

"Nicely done." I chuckled.

"I guess I got the honor of killing first of our friends." Jace said with cocky smile, taking in charge of the bet.

"I'm not even upset with that. It was quite entertaining." I smiled. Jace and I share a laugh, playfully patted each other before we finally flee the area.

CLARY'S POV

I was lucky enough Lei had found me on time to bring me back at the Institute. Simon got so worried, he barged in the Infirmary just to make sure I was safe.

As soon as I gain enough energy, I watched the horrified brokenhearted expression on Alec and Izzy's face after I told them what happened. I can't even believe it myself. It so dreadful watching Maddie and Jace with such dark impression.
