That Black Prince

Chapter 22

             White's POV

Wala paring gumagalaw sa kanilang dalawa pagkatapos ng limang minuto. Nag-uusap lang sila do'n sa ilalim at sa kasamaang palad hindi namin marinig ang pinag-uusapan nila.

I was still busy looking at black and sloth that i was a bit late to sense a presence beside me. Meron nang upuan sa tabi ko, and guess what kung sino ang naka-upo?.. it was none other than Pride.

He was smiling brightly at me. I know that greed warned me about him but I'm not White Rain if I'm not stubborn, so I returned a smile to him as his smile widen.

"Hi! alam kong hindi mo ako kilala lalo na at minsan lang ako kung umuwi dito sa palasyo. By the way, I'm pride." nilahad niya ang kanyang kamay na tinanggap ko naman.

Alam kong namumukhaan niya ako dahil nakita na niya ako noong ako ay sumilip sa silid kung saan silang magkakapatid ay nagpupulong ngunit napaka-inosente nang kanyang expresyon kaya't hindi ko alam kung ito ba'y pagpapanggap o talagang hindi niya ako namukhaan.

"Third," I replied shortly.
After our short introduction we then diverted our attention on the competition in front. Lumihis Lang ako ng tingin sandali, nagsisimula na pala ang laban nila.

Black attack first with a small dark circles of energy that louges straight to sloths position but the later was still eyeing black boredly. Typical of sloth, still bored and lazy. Ni hindi man lang gumalaw sa kinatatayuan niya at panay lang iwas sa atake ni black.

"Third, based on skills, who do you think would win?" Pride whispered to me while still eyeing on the competition intently.

"Hindi ako manghuhula para malaman ko." Tumawa naman siya sa sinagot ko sa kanya.

Black was still attacking sloth when suddenly he stop. I saw his smirk plastered on his face as he looked at sloth mockingly. Tinitigan ko naman si sloth at do'n ko nakita na meron siyang paso sa kanang braso, nadaplisan siya. Sloth smirk back at him and suddenly he got a knife from his pocket and wounded himself a small cut on his index finger, just enough to bleed and his blood reach the cemented floor of the arena.

All of a sudden, a blue Phoenix appeared in front of sloth as if it was protecting him. I stared at it in awe. It is huge and tall. It was in a defensive position while staring at black. It looks facinating but deadly. Especially with it's sharp glares that was directly pointing at Black's direction.

"You know, black can win this fight and become the king but his people won't recognize him as the king of this continent."  Pride blurted out all of a sudden.

What does he mean by that? Mukhang nabasa niya ang nasa isip ko dahil nagsalita ulit sya.

"He won't be recognized because he deserted the palace once and as he depart, he already left his crown behind."

My lips parted, I was stunned for a second but then I regained my composure.

How can he be so sure of that?

I was about to speak out my thoughts but an another person did it for me.

"Paano ka naman nakakasiguro na hindi siya kikilalaning hari?" iritadong boses ang narinig kong nagsalita.

Pride chuckled. Kumunot naman ang noo ko sa kanya. Ano ang nakakatawa?

"Intrigued now, e'?" He said but he is  looking at my back. I look at what he's looking and I saw the other two mistress with intrigued look.

"I just think I heard something interesting! and by the way, sagutin mo na 'yong tanong ko!" first said irritably. Hindi halatang atat siya.

Humalakhak naman si pride. Ano na naman bang nakakatawa? Tumingin rin sa kanya ang dalawa na nagtataka.
