That Black Prince

Chapter 26

White's POV

Mabilis akong tumatakbo palabas mula sa loob ng isang palasyo. May hawak akong itim na libro sa isang kamay habang ang kabilang kamay ko naman ay may hawak ng sandals ko na kulay asul. I was also wearing an oceanic blue v-neck sleeveless dress.  The guards are running after me as I sprint in order to save my life.

Subalit napahinto ako sa pagtakbo nang ako'y wala nang matakbuhan. I was surrounded by the palace guards and also the royal family.

"Return what you stole and we shall spare your life." The queen said as she approached me.

Hinigpitan ko ang kapit sa hawak kong itim na libro bago nagsalita.

"No! This doesn't belong to you! You does not own it! It's Xen's book! not yours!" I shout at them.

Nag-iba ang expression ng Reyna nang marinig ang mga salitang binitawan ko, "Kill her." she ordered, then she turned her back on me and leave the scene together with his family.

Nagsimulang sumugod ang mga kawal subalit hindi pa sila nakakalapit sa akin ay namamatay na sila. I was surrounded by water and the water was attacking them. I was hugging the book inside the water barrier that I created when I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my chest and when I look down, I saw a silver arrow that had peirce me from the back. I cough blood and the water surrounding me suddenly vanish.

Nakita kong umiilaw ang librong ngayon ay may bahid na nang sarili kong dugo. I force myself to stand but another arrow hit me on my stomach.

Kahit duguan ay sinubukan ko paring lumaban dahil hindi ako maaaring mamatay dito.

I need that book for him. It holds a secret that no one knows but beneficial to him.

When I was about to die I heard the gasp of people and I see their eyes glistened with fear.  Tumingin ako kung saan sila nakatingin at tuluyan akong napangiti nang makita ko siyang papalapit.

His white cape was following the wind together with his black short hair. His pants is white so as his shirt. His dark iris speaks danger as he stared at every individual around me. His jaw clench and his teeth gritted when he saw my situation.

I smiled at him as I speak, "You're late, Xen."

Napabalikwas ako ng bangon at naghahabol ako ng hininga. Tagaktak rin ang pawis ko. Tila ba'y tumakbo ako ng malayo. Napatingin ako sa aking paligid at napahinga nang maluwag nang makitang nasa loob ako ng aking kwarto dito sa Central kingdom. Ang tanging ilaw sa aking kwarto ay ang sinag mula sa buwan na tumatagos sa kristal na bintana.

Inalala ko ang mga pangyayari sa aking panaginip ngunit sumakit lamang ang aking ulo. I could only remember the blury images of a book, soldiers and a person who were approaching me. Pagkatapos no'n ay wala na akong iba pang matandaan.

That dream is so weird. It's weirdly felt real.

Sinubukan kong matulog muli ngunit hindi na ako muli pang dinalaw ng antok. I got up from my bed and noticed that I'm wearing a white dress. Sigurado akong si Life ang nagbihis sa akin.

I walk my way to the balcony and I was welcomed by the moonlight. It was a full moon tonight so I can see the surroundings clearly. I leaned on the railing as I stare at the moon. There were a few clouds and stars tonight. 

Ang malamig na simoy ng hangin ay tinangay ang mahaba at paalon-alon kong buhok papunta sa aking likuran. Mapayapa rin ang paligid. Ninanamnam ko pa ang malamig na hangin nang bigla akong mapatingin sa kanang balkonahe na katabi ng aking kwarto.

The sliding window opened and there emerge a beautiful woman in peach lingerie. Her blonde hair swayed with the flow of the wind and her eyes with oceanic blue irises had perfectly complemented her facial features. She has a small mole under her right eye. Her nose are proud and pointed. Her lips are curved perfectly and she has porcelain skin.

She caught me staring at her. Hinawakan niya ang takas na buhok na nagulo dahil sa hangin at inilagay sa likod ng kanyang tenga bago siya ngumiti sa akin ng matamis. Ngumiti rin naman ako pabalik.

Hindi ko siya natatandaang kasapi ng maharlikang pamilya ng Central kingdom. Marahil ay isa siyang panauhin na mula sa ibang kaharian, batay na rin sa kanyang mukhang hindi pamilyar  sa akin at mukha naman siyang prinsesa at hindi tagapagsilbi. Marahil na kung ipagtatabi kaming dalawa ay mas magmumukha pa akong alipin o tagapagsilbi kung ikukumpara sa kanya.

"Hi there, I'm princess Mahuya from the West Kingdom of outcast. You are?" She initiated the talk.

"I am Third. It's nice to meet you, Princess Mahuya."

Sumandal muna siya sa railing ng balkonahe bago muling tumingin sa akin, "are you a princess third?" Napangiwi ako sa kanyang tinanong. Bakit kailangan pang itanong 'yan?

"I am not."

I saw her expression changed, " that's odd. As far as I can remember, they wouldn't just let anyone enter the Central kingdom palace unless you're an important person to one of the prince's. Are you an acquaintance, perhaps? "

Tama nga naman ang kanyang sinabi. Ngunit, bakit parang ang dami niyang alam?

"I think you guess right. I am acquainted with the black prince." Biglang nag-iba ang kanyang expresyon. From her lively mood to her gloomy mood.

"Ah, right! the prince with a bad reputation. I didn't expect that a person like you would be acquainted to him."

Judging from her look and the way she speaks, I already knew that she hated him. But for what reason?

"Have you heard of a saying that don't judge the book by its cover? You don't know his story or what he'd been through. You're not even that close to him yet you think of him badly. He's not as bad as you think."

Matagal siyang napatitig sa akin dahil sa mga salitang binitawan ko. Mukhang nagulat siya dahil sa mga sinabi ko at batay sa pinapakita niyang reaksyon ay mukhang ngayon lamang siya nakarinig ng mga ganoong salita.

She smiled at me with amusement, "I wonder if you could still say that if you've already encountered his uncontrolled state."

The only thing left on my mind was her words and her smirk as she went back to her room.

She's right. I myself, doesn't know him well. How foolish am I to say those words?
