Chapter 25

Black's POV

Sloth and I were still grinning at each other when we suddenly heard a chuckle.

"That's quite interesting. However, with you Sloth turning down your opportunity to replace your father's throne means that Black will automatically become the only candidate." Light's Father King Licht stated, "Ngunit, papayag ba kayo? mga kapwa ko membro ng council?" pagpapatuloy nito sa pagsasalita.

Napaismid ang iba samantalang mayroon namang napangiwi dahil sa binitawang salita ng haring mula sa Hilagang Kaharian ng outcast.

"Ako ay hindi makapapayag!"
"ako rin!"
"neither do I!"

Sunod-sunod na narinig kong angal nila subalit mas tinamaan ako sa huling salita na aking narinig, "He's a cursed prince! How can he lead this continent if he himself is a walking danger!"

Napayuko ako dahil sa narinig. I smiled bitterly.

As expected. They won't accept me even if it's the only choice they have.

They continued their arguments while I'm still bowing down my head but I lifted it up immediately when I felt that someone was staring at me and there I saw, king Licht who were looking at me intently. 

Nagtitigan kaming dalawa at kumunot na lamang ang aking noo nang bigla itong ngumisi sa akin. Nagulat ako nang bigla niyang hinampas ang mesang nasa harapan niya. Natigilan ang lahat at napatingin sa kanya nang nagtataka.

"Hindi ba't ang problema lamang ay ang sumpang na sa kanya? Then, why don't you break the Curse and become the king of outcast?" Ang salitang iyon mula kay Haring licht ang naging dahilan upang mapasinghap ang mga tao sa loob nitong silid, maliban sa amin ni Ama at ni Haring licht.

"That's Impossible! Wala pang nakakasira ng itim na sumpa! Not even the previous prince's! Among all those eleven previous cursed prince's can't even break the curse!" the king from the West Kingdom spoke.

"King Monroe, have you heard of the saying that Every generation is better than the previous one? I wanna know what this generation can do. So, Prince Black of Central kingdom...Are you up for a challenge?" King Licht said while smirking and I did the same.

"Hindi ako tumatalikod sa isang hamon, haring licht. I'll prove to you that our generation is better than the previous one."

"Good to know, Future king."

Tumayo si haring licht at gano'n din ang iba pang myembro ng council. Some looked satisfied from the decision but the two kings was not. The king from the East and the King from the south.

Alam kong ang kasalukuyang hari ng Slovenia Kingdom ay hindi talaga papanig sa akin ngunit nakuha ko na ang pag-apruba mula sa tatlong hari kaya't wala na silang magagawa.

"Prince Black will become the king of outcast in a condition that the Black Curse will be broken. This meeting ends now." 

After hearing those words from father, both Sloth and I bowed our heads as the kings and queens from the other kingdom walked out of the room. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I saw king Licht smiling at me.

"Do your best."

I smiled at him too, "I will, thank you."

Lumakad na siya palabas sa pinto at tanging kami na lamang nina Ama at Sloth ang narito sa loob.

"I told you, I had a plan didn't I?" I asked our father who were standing before us with his face devoid of any emotion.

"I never thought your this clever. You really are my child." He smiled at me but he frown when he look at Sloth.

"Sino 'yong sinasabi mong babae Sloth?"

Si ama ay may ganito talagang ugali. Mahilig siyang makialam sa buhay pag-ibig ng kanyang mga anak.

"Just someone who can erase memories, my King."

Sabay kaming napakunot ang noo ni ama. Wag niyang sabihing hindi niya kilala?!

"Sloth, don't you know her name?" mabilis niya akong tinignan nang matalim dahil sa binitiwan kong salita. Subalit ngumisi lamang ako sa kanya.

Umiwas siya ng tingin na tila ba'y nahihiya bago siya muling nagsalita, "Importante pa ba ang pangalan niya? ang Importante, mahal ko siya! period!"

Napahalakhak kami ni ama dahil sa kanyang sinabi habang siya nama'y mukhang naiinis.

"Tss." salita niya bago kami iniwan ni ama.

We are really brothers, no doubt about that.

Naunang lumabas si ama samantalang nakasunod naman ako sa kanyang likuran. Pagkasarado ko ng pinto ay sandalian akong natigilan dahil sa naramdaman kong presensya. Pagtingin ko sa aking kaliwa ay nakita ko doon si Pride na nakasandal sa pader.

He was looking straight ahead but immediately diverted his eyes on me when he felt that I was staring at him.

"So, how did it go?" he asked while smirking.

"It goes as I pridicted it to be." with cold expression and tone, I replied.

Eversince we were young, Pride and I has always been in a competition. Even in Aqua's love.

"Well, looks like the heavens favored you today but you still might not succeed in the end." nakangising aniya.

I remain in my emotionless facade, "It was actually well calculated Pride. I know how my brother's minds works."

"O' really? Then, can you predict mine?" Nakangising aniya.

I stare at him for a moment then smirk, "Try harder to compete with me. Maybe next time you'll probably win."

With my grinning face, I turned around and started to walk away from him. Akala ko ay makapagpapatuloy na ako sa paglalakad subalit natigilan ako nang marinig ang salitang binitawan niya.

"She looks like Aqua right? I wonder what's her relation to Aqua.."

I wanted to know that too but I have a lot to worry right now.

Lumingon ako sa kanya at nabungaran ko siyang nakangisi sa akin.

"Boom! huli!" Humalakhak siya na parang baliw.

Seriously? does he had a loose screw in the head?

I remained a stoic expression even though hearing her name brings pain in my chest.

"Don't get too close to her Pride. You might regret it," I said with seriousness.

Ngumisi lang siya sa'kin, "Is that a threat?"

"If you're threatened then, it is."

He chuckled and then walk towards me. He walk past by me. Narinig ko ang pagtigil niya sa paglalakad hindi malayo sa aking kinatatayuan. Magkatalikod kaming dalawa ngayon.

"Hold her tight Black..I may not be Greed but I could also steal."

I smirk, "O? I'd like to see you try."
