Kaelynn's P.O.V.

That night we ate our cake and snuggled on the couch. Mason told me stories of what he would do when he was yoinger, all resulting in us laughing our heads off. The following days, I've had the most fun I haven't had in a while. We went out to the place we went to the first day, of course, then we explored the town we in, and it was beautiful. Some guy drew a portrait of me, which Mason bought before I could protest. Then we got icecream, bought a whole cart of balloons from a guy, and passed it out to children who thanked us and smiled with their adorable mouths. Then, we saw a crowd of people circling a dancer, and Mason persuaded me to show off my moves, which I gradually did. They cheered me on until I was to tired to do anything, and the walked away, smiling.

The last day we were there, we decided to have a lazy day. The penthouse was too beautiful to just not stay in and relax.

"Mason, how about we make brownies?" I suggested, sitting up from the couch.

"Brownies? Oh, cool! I've memorized this recipe of my grandma's brownies! Are you allergic to any nuts?"

I shook my head. "Nope! Lets cook it! Unless you don't want me to know?"

"Of course. I can trust you to not to tell anybody. Riiiiiight?" He asked, jokingly.

"Duuuuuuh!" I giggled, and we went into the kitchen.

The kitchen was already stocked with food, and I was glad it was, along with things Mason got yesterday. I got out the neccesary ingredients, and Mason taught me his grandmother's recipe. It was fairly complicated, needing to do everything exactly right. Happy with how it looked, Mason slid it into the oven, and we went back into the living room to watch tv.

"Did you like your time here?" Mason asked, smiling.

"Yes! It was the most fun I've had in a while! Thanks, Mase. I totally needed this." I hugged Mason and kissed his cheek.

We still haven't really discussed the whole kissing thing ever since that night. All we would do was kisses on the cheek or forehead. Surprisingly, there was no word from Regina the rest of the trip. That made me happy, but also kind of nervous at the same time.

Until...

Mason's phone rung and he checked on it and sighed. Speak of the devil...

"Regina?" Mason said. I got up to leave, but he grasped my arm and made me sit back down.

"Hey. How are you?"

I looked down at my nails and tried not to bite at them.

"What? Why?" Mason scrunched his eyebrows together. My heart was beating out of my chest. What was she saying?

"You are? I bet it's that Damen guy. Is it him?" Mason stood up and started pacing the livingroom. Has she broken up with him.

"Regina, why? Why have you been messing around with him? Am I not good enough?"

I sighed. I knew this day would come. I just didn't know when.

"Regina...we'll talk when I get back. And bring Damen, too. Okay? 'Bye."

He hung up and sighed. "She admitted she was cheating on me."

I frowned and went over and gave him a hug. "You two aren't broken up yet. Are you?"

"Not officially. We'll talk it out, and she'll return everything. I'm surprused that she actually suggested we would instead of me. Maybe she really likes this Damen dude."

I smiled slightly and leaned up to kiss his cheek. "It'll be okay, Mase. It just wasn't meant to be. I'm so sorry."

"Don't be. I'm just a little upset. Nothing too big."

The oven timer dinged, and my body lit up at just the thought of trying the brownies. Mason took them out of the oven and sat it on the stove.

"Now we need to let it cool down," he said.

"But, it's better when it's hot," I whined.

"Okay, okay. Hold on."

We stared at the pan for, literally, five seconds, then Mason announced, "Okay, it's done!" He put two brownies on napkins for us, and I used a fork to take a bite of it. It. Tasted. Like. Heaven. It practically melted in my mouth and I can taste the macadamia nuts and everything's just WOW.

"This is HEAVEN!" I exclaimed, eating more.

"A fork, Kay?" Mason questioned.

"What? It's hot," I explained with a shy smile.

"Such a baby." Mason playfully rolled his eyes, and I punched his arm.

We stared into each others' eyes before leaning in and kissing. Knowing Mason isn't really with Regina anymore, I didn't have a bad feeling when we did this. Mason held my waist, and I put my arms around his neck, making sure the fork didn't stab his neck. When we pulled away, we both smiled.

"You taste like chocolate," I murmured.

"You do too." Mason chuckled, and I pecked his lips again.

After eating another brownie or two, we went back to the living room and watched more tv. I cuddled into him, and I felt him cuddle back. Just as I was about to kiss him one good time, my phone went off, signalling a text.

I'm back and coming for you, Kaelynn...
