Kaelynn's P.O.V.
"Wait, 'grandma'?!?" I asked, even more shocked. This psychopath was one of my close friends' grandmother?!? This was a lot to take in, and I leaned against Mason for support.
Becky looked back at me in sympathy. "Kaelynn...I'm sooooo sorry. You see, I--"
"DON'T...talk to me," I said. I felt sick. For all I know, she was planning with this woman to kill us or something. And I was FRIENDS with her???
"Kaelynn! It's nice to see you!" Ann said with a sadistic smirk.
"How...I don't know anymore." I shook my head then closed my eyes. I needed time to think.
"What's wrong? Happy to see me after all this time? I see you met my granddaughter! Nice, isn't she?"
"Grandma," Becky warned.
Opening my eyes, I focused on the redhead in the orange suit. "Why? Why did you kill my mom?"
She had a truly confused look on her face. "Your mom died? When was this?!?"
"Don't play games with me! You set it all up! You planned this out with somebody, and made them try to take us all out! You killed her, and almost killed my sister and I! TELL ME THE TRUTH!"
"I don't know what you're talking about! I ain't set nothing up! I had nothing to do with your mama's death! You have the wrong criminal!"
I was heated. Why was she lying to me? She was already in jail, she had nothing to lose! "JUST TELL ME THE TRUTH ALREADY!"
"I AIN'T GOT NOTHIN' TO TELL YOU!"
Mason rubbed my arms and told me to shush quietly. He was really soothing, even if I didn't want him to. I sighed and took a deep breath.
"Do you know anything of it?" I asked calmly.
"Nope. Not anything for sure."
"LIAR! TELL ME THE TRUTH!"
Mason forced me into his arms and stroked my head like a kitten. I tried my hardest not to cry so I didn't seem weak. But, it was so hard, considering I'm talking to a criminal who terrorized us and possibly had something to do with the car crash.
"I am so sorry, sweetie."
"DON'T MOCK ME!" I screamed, causing Mason to cover my mouth. Okay, I knew I was overreacting about the whole situation, but I had to know! I have to know who did this! I have to know if she's the one who caused this!
"Kaelynn," Dun said, "if it'll make you feel better, I can do a lie detector test on her to see if she's lying?"
After removing Mason's hand, I asked, "Is it accurate?"
"Nine times out of ten."
"Okay..."
Dun shut the door and locked it back.

The whole house was dark when we came back. I fumbled around for the light switch, and turned it on. Tam laid, unconscious, on the couch. I couldn't tell if blood was coming from her head because her hair was so freaking red!
"Tam!" I yelled, running over to her. She groaned a little, and I helped her sit up. "Go get me a cold, wet rag!" I ordered to somebody.
Becky went to do as I was told, and Mason and I sat Tam up. Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked around at her surroundings. Becky came back, and I pressed the cold rag against her forehead.
"Wha-what happened?" She asked, disoriented.
"I don't know! What was the last thing you remember happening?"
Tam scrunched her eyebrows together. "I...I was sitting here. On the couch. And then all the lights turned off. I heard a door open, and next thing I know, something hard hit me in the back of my head. That's all I remember."
Somebody's in the house. They knocked her out so they could sneak in. I glanced around everywhere to see if anything was missing. Everything was still here. I decided to check the rest of the house. I told them to stay there, then proceeded upstairs.
Char's bedroom door opened, which caught my eye. Slowly, I crept to it, and inched it open. The sight I saw was one I never thought I'd see so soon. Char, sitting on the bed, smiling.
A/N: Annnnd, there we go! That's the end of the chapter. Sorry it's so short and...

Nah, I'm just messing with ya! I love tricking you. It's sorta like a habit. XD
Anyways, I has more to the chapter."CHAR!" I squealed, running in and jumping on her. I hugged her tightly and repeatedly kissed her forehead. I missed her so much, she har me worried that I would never see her again.
"Kay...stop, Kay!" Char pleaded, and I removed myself from her.
"I can't believe you're back! I'm so happy you're here! I have so much to tell you, you wouldn't believe--wait a minute. Where were you?"
Char's face went stone cold. I've never seen her look like this before, and I jumped a little. "It's none of your business, Kaelynn."
Okay, then! I was going to get it out of her one way or another. But not right now, I decided. "Okay. But, we went to the police station, and I wanted to take you too. I thought you were never going to come back, and--Oh my god, Char I have something to tell you!"
"What, KayKay?!?"
"Mom...was pregnant when she died."
Char made a bunch of faces. Hurt, confusion, realization, etc. "Really? She was pregnant?"
"Yeah! And I was confused, because who could...get...her...BRIAN!"
Of course! This made total sense to me now! And...Anger coursed through me as I continued to think about everything. I already hated him, now I just want to kill him. I don't care about how people say, "Ohhh, you don't mean that!" But, I do. I want to get revenge. He must have something to do with everything. Atleast an inkling!
"Charlize...please tell me you know something about this case? Please? I am begging you as your loving sister, Char. Just...tell me something!"
She looked out the window for some odd reason, then turned back to me. "I can't," she whispered.
"Why?" I asked.
Char looked at her lap, then focused on me again. "He'll kill us..."
A/N: OH MEEEE GAWSHHH! Who is this mystery person?!?!?? Wait, you probably know. I just love how I ended it all! No, not the story! The chapter!
