Kaelynn's P.O.V.

My heart fell as soon as Char hung up on me. The first thing I wanted to do was cry. My little sister basically hates me now. And it's all my fault. I looked around the hotel's first floor to see if anybody was staring at me. Char's voice was pretty loud, and I wouldn't be surprised if everybody heard it. Nobody was, so I sighed and slipped the phone in my pocket.

Mason smiled at the lady behind the front desk, our room key clutched in his hand. Then, he walked back to me, rolling his suitcase with him. "I got a room key, and the lady said it has two beds in it. Lets go!"

The hotel was nice. Very classy. Now, you know Masom has money. But, I didn't care about that. Right now, it wouldn't matter if we were at the poorest hotel in the world. It wouldn't change the fact that my sister absolutely hates me. She can't stand me. I'm the worst sister ever. My heart hurts when I rethink the words.

I follow Mason quietly. I didn't have anything to talk to him about, even though he would make me talk to him sometime. We got to the elevator and went allllllllll the way up to the pent house. And from what I seen, it's huge! But, I just towed my suitcase into a room and sat on the bed.

"Kay? What's wrong? You seem down." Mason popped into the room and sat beside me.

"Nothing," I lied, not looking at him.

"Is it Regina? Are you still thinking about her? I know you don't like her--"

"It's not her," I interrupted. I remember our conversation we had when we were starting to leave from L.A. But, of course that wasn't the problem...not.

"Then...is it me?" He asked.

Yes. "No! Why would it? You haven't done anything wrong!" Ues, you have.

"Oh. Then tell me what's on your mind, Kay. I want to help you. And make you feel better." He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight. I couldn't help but smile and lean my head on his shoulder.

"Mase...I don't want you to get mad," I muttered when we separated.

"Kay, you know I won't. How about we discuss this over dinner? I'll cook something. What is it you have a taste for?"

"Pie," I said absentmindedly. He chuckled then kissed my forehead.

"What kind?" He asked.

"Blueberry. I literally have a taste for blueberry pie."

He shook his head then began to walk out the room. "Your wish is my command," he joked bowing out.

Mason held out my seat and I laughed a little as I sat down. He pushed my seat in then sat in his. Slices of the blueberry pie I requested sat on our plates, and I began eating before he could ask me any questions.

"Mmm! This is really good, Mase! How did you learn to cook?" I asked, taking another bite of the delicious dessert-dinner-food. It was as if my taste buds were relaxing and just feeling happy. Weird, right?

"Thank you! I learned from my aunt. She's a proffessional chef, you know? So, if my football dreams don't come true, I can fall back on cooking."

"Yes! I would hire you as my personal chef!"

"Kay, there's no need for that! I'm already my personal chef!"

"Along with my best friend! God, you're amazing!"

We continued eating, sometimes taking a sip or two of champagne that Mason suggested I try. He said that it would go great with this pie, and he was more than right.

"Kaelynn? Are you still uneasy about earlier this evening?"

I stopped eating, then looked up at him. His eyes just made my heart skip a beat. I shook my head.

"N-no," I lied. Again.

"KayKay, come here. We're going to talk about this."

I did as he told me to, and sat in his lap. Sort of like I did when we had dinner the very first time together. I faced him, still not saying anything.

"Tell me what's wrong. I have to know."

So, I explained all about Char. My breath caught in my throat a couple of times, but I managed to continue. Fortunantly, no tears fell from my face. Mason smiled at me sadly.

"I always wanted her to like me. I guess not being around you, I can succeed in that."

"No! I like you Mason! Wait--I mean, I like being around you! I-I don't like you...We're friends and all..."

Mason chuckled then kissed my forehead again. "I know what you're saying."

I snuggled into him and breathed in his scent. I love his scent. It makes me smile and feel better. Even though Char hates me for this, I like him too much to just leave him hanging.

Mason picked me up, then carried me to the room I was occupying for the moment. He laid me on the bed and smiled.

"Night, Kay. I'll see you in the morning."

"Good-night, Mason," I responded before he left.

I went through my suitcase and changed into a giant shirt and that's all. Then, I climbed into bed and cut the light off. I stared out at the beautiful city out the huge glass wall in front of me. Mase's pep talk or whatever really helped me. And it made me like him so much more. More than I should have. And...it just won't stop growing.

A/N: Two chapters within an hour! OMG! XD That's KayKay's room.

It may not be good. I have a headache. Sorry!
