She could hear that front door open. Followed by those voices she knew exactly belonged to who. All while the girl waited for her own bedroom door to open. Revealing the one man she didn't want to see. Reminding her of everything she resented in life.
"Ming." She wouldn't dare speak to him. Keeping nothing more than that heaviness of her gaze held on the man before her. His own all too exhausted and distant. Because the man had already changed. Changed so effortlessly quickly. He had to.
"Ming—"
"Get out—"
"What the fuck is your problem, huh—"
"My problem?!" In a laugh, the girl was quick to scoff. Carrying every ounce of that danger she had grown to hide behind. Because it was easier. Easier to act like she couldn't give two fucks about anything rather than display her entire heart to the world.
"You said you'd be gone for a few days—"
"There was some shit that happened, Ming—"
"You left me for a fucking month, SeJun! A fucking month—"
"What the fuck did you want me to do, Ming?! Huh?! Y-You act like I can just drop fucking every thing—"
"Then why are you talking to me?" She couldn't help but get to her feet. Carrying enough anger in her being to make her sick to her stomach. Because the man was her brother. Her same brother who she never knew would come back home to her alive or not. And she hated it. Hated when he'd act as though nothing mattered.
"Why are you acting like you fucking care—"
"You're still my sister, Ming—"
"Is that why you never let me know that you were okay? I thought you were fucking dead, SeJun—"
"Ming—"
"I'm leaving—"
"To go where, huh? To see that piece of fucking shit who doesn't give two fucks about you?" And never before had he seen the woman's gaze change so quickly. Holding an expression blank enough to make one feel sick to their stomach. Because deep down inside it hurt. Hurt to think that no one would ever care enough to love her. Love her or give her their time.
Yet the man himself didn't speak furthermore. Able to tell that his words hit deeper than he intended them to. Causing the man to immediately move to go and grab her arm with that soft calling of her name, only to earn her hand across his face. All while the girl let out that hurt fuck you. Making SeJun do no more than watch his own sister leave their home with a slam of the door, only to let that ringing of her phone fill the air the second she began to drive in an aimless manner. Wanting to simply escape. Escape from reality.
"Kitten." And something about the man made her feel something. Having earned his voice upon her ears the second she called him.
"Are you busy right now?"
"You know I'm never busy when it comes to you, baby." She could practically see the man smirking as he said the words. The same words that were always so arrogantly smug. Seeing as though the man loved to try and get underneath her skin, even if right now the woman felt nothing more than pure comfort from them. So much comfort.
"Can you meet me somewhere?" There was no denying the subtle caution in her tone. Making the man's expression just barely falter as he let the woman tell him just where to go, despite how late it was into the night. Yet still he left. Left to go and meet the one girl who could see his car pull up next to her own. The two of them in an empty parking lot, all while the lights from the buildings amongst them shadowed their frames.
