With that knock, the woman looked over at the front door of her home. About to take YeJun to school for the first time in what felt like forever. Having been told by the doctor that he could go. Go if he felt like he could handle it.
"I left your lunch on the counter, baby." Ming walked over to that same door. Meeting eyes with the one boy who had her heart sinking almost instantly the second she opened it. All while she felt. Felt her eyes sting in that manner so easily.
"I-I brought these for you, mom. A-And I'm sorry for your loss." It was JunSeo who was stood there. Holding onto those flowers that had the girl voicing his name ever so softly, only to look at the one man standing there behind him. It being the man's father. Because it was Jimin who had heard. Heard that the girl lost her brother. Heard how it all happened
"Thank you so much, baby. YeJun was just about to leave for school." Ming let herself move closer to the boy. Giving him that hug paired with that kiss against the cheek so soft. All while she swallowed down every tear he could see in her eyes. Having let them both into the house, only to watch YeJun's eyes fill with pure surprise. Because he hadn't. Hadn't seen the boy in so long.
"J-JunSeo-ah." YeJun couldn't help but meet his eyes. Earning that immediate hug from the one boy who tried his hardest not to hurt him. Noticing the crutches that he held, alongside the slight discomfort all over his face. Even if he was simply happy. Happy to finally see his best friend he could've sworn he'd never get to see again.
"You okay? Hmm?" Yet it was his voice that distracted the girl from her child. Having came out in that manner so quietly deep. Because it was Jimin who was standing there behind the girl. Causing her to turn to look at him almost instantly, only to feel his gaze fall so heavy upon her own. Making her feel like she was staring at the same boy who had once been so lost in life. Having tried to distract himself through her. . . even if she was his.
"I-I'm okay—"
"Why do you lie, Ming? Huh? You act like I barely know you." He tilted his head. Carrying that aggression so subtle in his tone, only to earn those softness of her eyes upon his own. Because he could see. See that hurt written all over her face.
"Of course I'm sad, Jimin. I-I can barely go a few hours without crying, but I can't just stop. I have a child to take care of." She shook her head. Just barely peering back at the boys who had never in their life felt so happy. So happy to see one another.
"Why don't you come to us, Ming? You know you can talk to us—"
"I know, Jimin. But you all have lives too." Ming gave him that look. That same look he had watched paint her face so many times. Wondering what would've happened had be been the one to meet her first. Even if the man had met someone. Someone who was able to provide the man with everything Ming would've.
"I just want you to know that we care about you. . . okay?" Jimin tilted his head. His brows furrowed and gaze just as heavy as her husband's would be when he'd look at her. It being her same husband who's body stepped behind the woman in that manner Jimin could recognize like the back of his hand. Because Yoongi had never once cared. Cared to show anyone and everyone that the girl was solely for him.
"Jimin-ah." In a smirk, Yoongi looked over at the man. Sliding no more than his hand down to the base of Ming's hip, only to keep his eyes held on the man's own.
"I was just telling, Ming, that she can always come to us—."
"Why would she come to you—."
"Yoongi." She didn't care to immediately look back at the man. Didn't care to scoff at him in that manner so disgusted. Even if the man knew better. Having known that the girl wasn't doing okay. That every night that they'd lay down to go to bed would end up with her in nothing more than pure tears. Crying into his chest for hours, only to feel just as hurt the next day. Because the girl was sad. So sad and so heartbroken.
