Head tossed back, the girl let the water rushing over her body, come against her skin. Aiding every ounce of pure exhaustion lingering in her being as her eyes closed shut in the want to feel. Feel that warmth of the water caressing her skin. Feel that immediate relief it gave her the second it did so.
And she wondered. Wondered if what she had said and done to the man she'd sleep next to at night, was justifiable. Maybe she was being too harsh. Maybe she was overthinking. Projecting every ounce of her own insecurities and stress onto the man himself. Yet still, she couldn't stomach it. Stomach the fact that her son could've gotten killed doing something she never wanted him to start doing to begin with. The boy was her first and only child.
Yet just like that, those unknown tears began to pool her eyes. Because YeJun was. Was the girls first child. Able to remember wondering to herself if she was ready. Ready to be a mother. Ready to provide him with that love and care she had tried so hard to give him over the years, even if right now she was completely questioning herself. Questioning whether or not she was a good mother. Or if she shouldn't have brought him into a world he didn't deserve to face so harshly as the girl brought her hands up to her face. Wishing that she could take a moment to stop thinking.
However, next was her husband. Her husband who she had grown to love more than anything. And her husband who she would feel nothing but guilt towards each time she'd push him away. Because the woman always wanted to cave. Knowing that the man's life had been nothing but hard. Starting with the way his father would treat him, to the things he's had to see and do. Having turned him into a person he'd at times feel as though he couldn't even recognize. Able to remember the first time he himself had killed someone. Making him unable to do so much as sleep each time he tried. Completely consumed by the fact that this was now his lifestyle. Even if he knew. Knew that it was the only way he'd ever be able to survive.
And it was then that the girl shut the water off. Wrapping nothing more than a towel around her body, only to hear the bathroom door open behind her. Revealing the one man who's hair was all tousled as Yoongi blinked away the sleep from his eyes. Even if it was then that he took notice of the girl who wasn't there lying next to him in bed when he woke up. Knowing that it'd give him nothing more than pure relief each time he'd see her there, as Ming felt the man move behind her in nothing more than pure silence. Having taken notice of that subtle redness lingering within her eyes as Ming allowed the man to hold her.
"I'm sorry." His voice was so deep. So deep and so hushed as he said the words. Having watched as the girl closed her eyes before tilting her head. Resting it upon nothing more than his chest as Yoongi watched those subtle tears leave her eyes.
"I can't keep fighting, Yoongi." She couldn't. Couldn't continue such an act that'd have her completely exhausted. Feeling as though she didn't have a husband at all each time the two would go days without speaking to each other. Even if they'd try. Try to keep their issues hidden from the boy who Ming was so afraid to lose. Lose to something that wasn't worth getting sucked in by.
And he watched as her tears further fell. Pairing with the way she moved her head from off of him. Having looked at the man through the mirror of their bathroom only to sniffle those sniffles all too heartbreaking. Because it was Yoongi who knew. Knew that the girl saw him as everything.
"Ming—"
"I-I just want a break, Yoongi—from everything—"
"Ming—"
"We're not getting any better, Yoongi, a-and you know that." They weren't. Weren't fixing the problems in their relationship that were turning into more and more problems as Ming felt the man's hands leave her body. Having looked at the woman as though she was a complete stranger in his eyes.
