Tahani Amoura
We had been sitting down for about 3 hours na and I was tired of listening to Ben and Chanel flirt.
"Can we get ready to go?" I asked looking down at my watch.
"Yea lil sis you should've just said you was ready to bounce Princess you know ain't no thang." Ben said pulling out $200 sitting it on the table. Oh this nigga just flexing na the mf food was $80. He just made somebody night though. I dropped a $20 on the table and so did Chanel.
We all stood up and was walking out the door when we heard somebody scream out a thank you. I just smiled. I know how it is working for somebody else.
"Imma meet you in the car." Ben said walking to the opposite side of the parking lot with Chanel. I mean I don't care long as he don't do no trifling shit cuz imma have to fuck him up.
"NIGGA UNLOCK THE CAR." I said waiting at the driver side. I need to drive. I need to get away I'm stressed. Did I mention I'm taking real estate courses ? That's my real passion. I wanna do luxury real estate in California. That's where the money at.
I got in the car and connected my phone to the radio. Then Nowhere by Kentrell started playing. " I don't wanna go nowhere aw nah. I think it's best if we just stay at home. Might as well leave out because ya friends can't come round. I wanted it to be just me and you all alone. You don't want me I see yo La-di-dadi. All night singing the same song lonely singing the same song." I found myself singing the You don't want me I see yo La-di-dadi part out loud.
"Why you ain't tell me you could sing?" Ben said standing at the passenger door.
"Cuz I can't." I said. Now that the keys were in the car I could start it up. I started the car and turned the radio up. This song always makes me emotional.
"I know that I be trippin when I tell you things I don't mean at all... it ain't my fault you thug me imma tell you this honestly. Don't believe that it ain't someone out there to love me hate that my feelings got involved." I sang lowly. It had began to rain. I started feeling like I was in a movie.
"You good princess?" Ben asked grabbing my arm.
"I'm straight." I said shaking his hand off me. We pulled into the driveway and just sat there. I turned the car off and looked at him.
"What the hell did top say to you?" He asked.
"He ain't say nothing, I be having my own shit to deal with." I said shaking my head. I opened the car door and headed towards the front door without another word. I left the door open for Ben and went upstairs to my room.
I locked my room door because I just didn't want to be bothered. I put my purse and jacket in there respective spots in the closet and went into the bathroom and began to strip. "Hey Siri, play Torn by Letoya Luckett." I began singing the song while I made sure the shower was at the perfect temperature. I did what I needed to do and got out the shower. Then I got dressed in a long sleeved onesie with peaches on it. I looked at my phone and saw that it was only 8 o'clock.
I walked down the stairs and heard Ben in the living room on the phone with somebody.
"You know I miss you." He said laughing. I walked down the stairs slower and crept up on him.
"WHO THE FUCK YOU ON THE PHONE WITH?" I said loud and ghetto.
"Mane this Chanel see how you be doing to much? Get yo childish ass on who the fuck still wear pajamas with fruits on em?" He said looking back at his phone.
"See what you not gone do is play with my bestfriend like she ain't that bitch. Cuz she that and will forever be that." Chanel said going off on him.
"Period." I said walking into the kitchen going into the pantry to get some hot fries. I walked back into the living room and sat on the side of Ben and cut it on Criminal Minds.
