I woke up no more than 30 minute after I fell asleep. I was still in Perris's arms, still wrapped up in the feeling of safety. Still wrapped up in the feeling of confusion.

I'm pretty sure you are engaged to another man... regret should appear in three, two, one-

Regret never came though and I was waiting on that feeling for a long while. I was waiting to feel regret about what we just did, but the feeling never came. I couldn't even bring myself to feeling that emotion. I was thankful for it.

I think he realised I was awake so he asked me, "How are you feeling?"

Magical, blissful, warm, in love...

"Safe." I answered honestly and then I adjusted my head so I was looking up at him while laying on his chest. "And you?"

He smiled slightly at me and answered, "Never better."

A piece of me wanted to ruin this by asking what the fuck was going on or anything of that nature, but instead I chose to ruin it in another way.

It dawned on me that I just slept with a guy that I didn't know anything about and in an instant that thought bothered me. So I squirmed a bit and my eyebrows furrowed.

He asked me, "Are you alright?"

I nodded my head no with a tiny smile on my face.

"What's wrong?"

You slept with a handsome stranger.

Perris isn't a stranger.

"I know your favorite superhero and maybe your favorite ice cream flavor." I pointed out, holding onto him tighter. "I guess it bothers me that we shared something so intimate and you claim to love me, but you won't let me in."

His tranquil expression fled and he was looking at me with a bothersome face. "Serena, I am letting you in. I actually just did. What else do you want?"

"Tell me about your parents or when you lost your virginity. Talk to me about something important. Anything at all." I nearly begged, wishing that he would let someone in.

Perris sighed and told me, "It isn't as impactful as you think it is... my first time."

I snorted and rolled my eyes. "Is it ever?"

He smiled gently at my statement and quick attempt to make things lighter, but I didn't lose track of what I was doing.

"I want you to know that your attempts to avoid conversations about family don't go unnoticed as you wish they did." I notified him raising both of my brows. "I wish you would tell me and stop beating around the bush."

And you always let him get away with it.

Not this time.

"Ask me anything at all you want to know and I will truthfully answer." he spoke lightly, kissing my forehead and almost making me forget everything I was going to say.

"Damn you intoxicating kisses." I pouted and rolled my eyes. "Tell me about your family."

He sighed and cleared his throat. I knew it was going to be an even longer night just by the start.

A long night indeed.
