I take a deep breath as I have completely finalised the details of my wedding and finished studying for the final Order test and my finals at school. I didn't recognise how busy I was until I was sitting here done with the majority of my responsibilities and I felt lighter.
Of course, I wasn't experiencing true bliss because Beau was still mad at me and the tensions between me and my family was higher than ever. They weren't just upset with Perris, they were enraged with me. The only family members who were talking to me were the twins, who understand all of the stress I am genuinely going through and didn't want to add anymore pressure.
One of the lasts tasks that I needed to do was figure out what was next for me. I realized that I couldn't just be Beau's wife for the rest of my life. That was a title that I was bound to and one that I was stuck in. But I certainly had the opportunity to be more than that. Beau already told me that I could go anywhere in the world that I wanted. That may not be the case anymore after what happened at the Thanksgiving dinner, but I had the option to at least go to school in wherever city I was located.
I spoke with my advisor about how limited my options were and she did not let me down. She had a list of options and really pushed me to pursue something dealing with social work. That seemed to be something that I could be interested in and making in a difference in the world seemed to please me. So after a lot of discussion we decided that we could write a standard essay to universities about my future pursuit in... well... social work. It was nice finally narrowing down the things I wanted to do in life. Maybe. Just maybe, I wasn't as big of a lost cause as I once thought I was.
While I was more productive in my life, I realized how close I was to losing my freedom, my childhood. There's something about being one of the heads of a mafia that seemed to be so limiting. I didn't want to be limited. I didn't want to be anything that involves getting married at 18 years old. But I knew that my obligations were far too heavy to just let go.
I have to marry Beau no matter how much I want to be with Perris.

"Serena, you are getting married in less than 30 days and you don't have a wedding dress?!" Angel asked me with wide eyes. I found myself rolling mine as I closed my locker. With my binders and books in my arms, I shrugged my shoulders.
I guess that was my main concern with everything going on. I just wanted this wedding to look as real as possible that I was focused on the venue and the guest list and the ongoing, overwhelming amount of security that I forgot about me as a person. I forgot that I would be the one walking down the isle.
I should have been more frazzled about it, but I was just too light today to allow anything to bother me.
"That's not okay!" She exclaimed, looking at me with a scrunched up face. It was cute so I chuckled a bit at her expression. Seraphina did not find any of this funny.
