It started at Christmas

Chapter 5

Olivia pov

It was the 23th i was getting everything ready to go to Lisa her house for Christmas. It had snowed last night and the world was covered in a blanket of snow.  The previous day i had packed my suitcase, not knowing what to take with me i had packed way to much. I put my suitcase in the car, loaded the gifts and closed up my house. As i was starting the car, nothing happened, i tried again and again nothing. I checked every thing to see if i could figure out what was wrong but i got nowhere. I dropped my face on the steering wheel groaning, "Great start Liv...Great start."  I sighed again and pulled out my phone and called Scott. 

"Scott i am gonna be later" i said trough the phone, "my car wont start and i have to call an Uber."  But he didn't wanna hear it, "i will come pick you up."  After arguing back and forth i gave up. "Okay ill wait for you." I sighed.  About 30 minutes later this big SUV stopped in front of my house, getting out of the car was not Scott but Chris. "Fuck" i said to myself freaking out internally. I took a deep breath reminding myself to just relax and put my poker face on. You can do this

Before he could even ring the doorbell i opened the door. "Hi!" i said way to loud earning a chuckle from Chris. "Scott said you had car trouble so i am here to pick you up" he said giving me once again the million dollar smile. "Okay well i am ready to go..." i said.  "Dont you have luggage you have to take with you?" he said raising his eyebrow. "Yes but it is still in the car, i didn't wanna unload everything again to reload later seems pointless.." i shrugged. I put on my coat got my purse and keys locked up the house again and walked to the back of my car. As i opened the back of the car his eyes almost popped out of his head. "Are you moving in at ma's?" he joked, i put my hands on my hips and looked at him and with pretend annoyance and said "just so you know 90% of this wont come back here. But if it doesn't fit in your car we can always leave your gift here.." i said smirking. "Dont worry ill make two trips if i have to, witch one is mine?" he said leaning over me looking in the back of my car. 

As he leaned over me i could smell his cologne and feel the warmth radiating of his body, He smelled nice i could feel my face getting red by the closeness of our body's wishing i could just pull him in for a hug. I cleared my throat and he looked down, not moving an inch. just to make eye contact i had to look up. "So witch one is mine?" he said again in a low and husky voice. still leaning over me his arms leaning on the back of my car basically boxing me in. I looked up being captivated by his eyes and i dont know what came over me i put my hand on his chest and said in a whisper. "You will just have to wait to find out." I pushed him back a bit stepped aside and started to get out the bags with gifts leaving him there standing there frozen. When i got to his car i looked back him still standing there where i left him. "Are you going to stand there or are you going to help?" 

After we had packed everything into his car he opened the door to the passenger seat for me and i climbed in. He walked around the car got in and we drove of. 

Chris pov

We where all at ma's house, the whole family hanging out goofing around it was chaos. I loved it but i was nervous, at any moment Liv could walk trough the door. All i wanted was to see her talk to her, preferably alone but with the chaos surrounding me i knew that wasn't going to happen. I looked at Scott who was baking Christmas cookies with the kids. All of a sudden Scott his phone rang, He answered and i could hear he was talking to Liv she is not coming i thought, i felt my mood drop. But a sentence in there conversation peeked my interest, ill come and pick you up. After he hung up he turned to my niece who was still decorating the cookies. "I have to go and pick up Liv" he said, my niece pouted telling Scott that he could not go because the cookies weren't finished yet. 

"I thought she would drive herself over?" i asked Scott, "her car wont start he answered." All of a sudden an idea formed in my head, "ill go pick her up you finish decorating the cookies." Scott looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "no that is fine i can go pick her up" he said. "No just text me the address and ill go pick her up me car is better equipped for this weather and you told me she had allot of stuff to bring over and my car is bigger" i shrugged. "Fine he said ill text you the address."  

I put on my coat got my keys and just when i wanted to walk out ma came around the corner, "where are you going?" she asked. "I am going to pick up Liv she has car trouble." She smiled "what?!" i asked, "nothing nothing just be safe." she said kissing my cheek smirking. 

I got in the car and made my way to Liv, feeling exited to have some time alone with her. I arrived and got out off my car walking to the door i could see the car fully packed. I was about to ring the doorbell when the door opened. i got a cheerful hi, it made me smile. "Scott said you had car trouble so i am here to pick you up." She told me she was ready to go and after she locked everything i asked "dont you have stuff to take with you?"  She said it was still in the car not wanting the the extra work of bringing it in the house again. She walked to the back of the car and opened the trunk. "Are you moving i joked?" She looked at me putting her hands on her hips, "90% will not come back with me. But if it doesn't fit in your car we can leave your gift here." The look on her face being adorable and her eyes had a challenging sparkle. "Dont worry i will make two trips if it necessary." She chuckled. "Which one is mine?" i asked leaning over her peeking in the car.

She cleared her throat i looked down we where standing really close, i could see a blush on her face and her sweet smell entered my nose. She smelled divine. We where standing there for a second looking each other in the eyes, without breaking eye contact i asked which one was mine again. She put her hand on my chest, making it feel like my chest was on fire. Leaning in closer she whispered "you just have to wait to find out" she pushed me back a bit, but i felt frozen i had hundred thoughts running trough my head, wondering how it would feel to kiss her to hold her. Wondering how she would look underneath me moaning. She grabbed a few bags out of the car, walking to mine and turned around. "Are you going to help?" she said dragging me out of my thoughts, i cleared my throat and grabbed the stuff to put into my car.

After we packed everything in the car i opened the passenger site door for her and she got in, i walked around the car got in and drove off.  It was just a short drive, i drove slow not wanting this to be over to quick. 

"Are you exited for the next few days?" i asked.  "Yeah of course," she said beaming at me. "I bet you rather would have celebrated with your own family" i said. She snickered, "not really." I looked at her surprised wondering why someone didn't want to celebrate Christmas with family. "My family is not like yours" she continued. "I am sorry i said we have to make sure this will be the best Christmas ever"  i said. She looked at me with a big smile on her face i couldn't help but think that it was the most beautiful thing ever. And deep down i knew i was screwed because i would move heaven and earth to put a smile on her face, but her being my brothers friend it wasn't going to happen knowing how Scott thought about me and his friends. But something inside me wanted to be near her i just dont know how strong this part is. 

We soon arrived at the house, only taking her suitcase out leaving the gift in the car so we could put them under the three later. As soon as we walked trough the door she got swallowed up by my family. She looked over her shoulder back at me, a sad smile on her face as if she wasn't happy either that the time we had together was over to.
