Chris pov.

it was 11.30 at night, and Scott still hadn't come home from his friends house. He was friends with her for a long time and according to my mother and sister joined at the hip, yet i had never met her. Every time i was in town and we had plans in where she would come along something came up and she canceled. It came  to a point i was beginning to think she was canceling because of me. Because of that i was surprised to hear that she would be joining us for our Christmas celebrations this year, staying with me and the family for the whole time.

I picked up my phone and face timed Scott, "heeey broooo" he said picking up the phone. He was clearly not sober anymore and i laughed. "Sorry forgot to let you know i am crashing here" He was chuckling at something i couldn't see. "Its okay" i said. "I just wanted to check if you where alright." I was about to hang up when Scott stood up, "before you go wait a minute."

He walked into another room turned the phone around and i could hear him say behind the phone "Chris this is Liv."  A woman looked in the camera of the phone like she had seen a ghost. Despite that and that she clearly wasn't sober anymore she was gorgeous. "Hi" i said, i got a shy hi back, as soon as she said hi Dodger jumped up and looked at my phone. Liv's eyes lit up and she began talking to Dodger like i wasn't even there, asking him if he had been a good boy. Saying she missed him and calling him Dodgie. Dodger sniffing the screen confused why he couldn't get to her.

All of sudden she looked at me as if she just remembered is was still there, she mumbled a sorry,  i smiled no worries i guess you to already met. She smiled, and my stomach flipped. That smile was going to be the death of me. Yeah she said at your sisters house when she was watching him and when you all went to Disney he stayed with me. I looked surprised, i was going to say something when Scott turned the phone saying that holding up the phone was annoying his arm and he was going to hang up and i would see him tomorrow. i said goodbye and hung up.

I stared at my phone for a minute confused about what just happened. A strange feeling in my stomach. i decided to go to bed, telling Dodger to get his lion and that it was bedtime. Getting into bed i couldn't help but feel a little bit more exited for Christmas

I woke up Dodger laying next to me watching me, "that is kinda creepy buddy" i said smirking at him.  I got up got dressed and had breakfast. I took Dodger on a walk and when i got back home i saw Scott just pull in. "Heeeeeey broooo" i said laughing. "Oh shut up," he said laughing. "Had fun?" I ask him smirking.  "Yep, i hope you dont mind but i invited her for lunch here next week since you will be watching  Carly's kids." I looked at him "Yeah, yeah of course... No problem at all."  I took a deep breath..."You know you can also invite her when i am here i dont mind."  He smiled at me, "good to know" he said and he walked inside. I was itching to know more about her but didn't know how to bring it up without raising suspicion, especially her being his friend and i knew how he thought about that. And i couldn't blame him so many times women would make friends with him only to later find out they did it with an hidden agenda.

"So what did you do last night?" i asked. Scott shrugged his shoulders "We had dinner i helped her order gifts for everyone, did some karaoke and just goofed around." God that does sound fun i thought to myself.  "Sounds fun," I say smiling at him.  "Yeah Liv is so much fun to be around, she is just really shy, but once she feels comfortable around you she just has no shame." Scott chuckled probably thinking about something to do with Liv.  " Well she loves Dodger that's for sure" i commented. Scott smiled "you should see them in a room together he almost never leaves her side. She even bought Dodger something for Christmas. She lost her own dog a year ago she was devastated." I felt bad thinking about Liv being sad...why was her being sad bothering me so much? I never even met this woman in person. "I can imagine" i said, Scott went to take a shower and again i was confused as to why did the fact that she was sad about her dog dying bothering me so much. I mean i love dogs and every dog dying makes me sad but it was something else i couldn't put my finger on it.
