It started at Christmas

Chapter 8

When i woke up Chris was gone making me feel a little sad. I wished we could have just woken up together, but we hadn't talked yet and there was the complication Scott. Thinking about Scott made me feel like a crappy friend. He had told me how women had only befriended him just to get close to Chris. There was a knock at my door pulling me out off my thoughts, "come in" i said. Scott walked in, "good morning" he said way to chipper. "Morning" i smiled. "We where going out for breakfast with the whole family in about half an hour." I jumped out off bed running into the shower. Showering getting dressed and putting on makeup in record time 25 minutes later i walked downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen, the kids were running around exited to go out for breakfast.  Carly trying to get them in there jackets and shoes. In all the chaos my eyes met Chris his eyes he gave me a small smile. It took everything in me to not walk over put my arms around his neck en kiss him. I smiled back and then Lisa walked in taking control of the situation she instructed the kids to get ready then continuing making the car arrangements. "Carly and her family in one car" she instructed. "Shanna, Scott and me in one car and then Chris and Liv can go in his car." I looked at her shocked. 

When my eyes met hers she smiled at me a twinkle in her eyes. WTF i thought, she knows? Omg did she hear us? My mind went in overdrive but i didn't have time to think because everyone put on there coats and walked out, Chris still standing near the door. "Are we not gonna head out?" i asked. "No we are gonna wait 10 minutes and arrive a little later to avoid attention" he said. 

Everyone had left leaving us alone in the house as soon as he heard the cars drive off, he closed the space between us. Putting his hand on my hips, sliding them down to my ass squeezing me lightly. Putting his lips on mine it felt again like fireworks, i put my arms around his neck running my hand trough his hair deepening the kiss. 

When we pulled apart both out of breath resting our foreheads together, "i am sorry i wasn't there when you woke up" he whispered. "Its okay i understand, i have a question tho, does your mother know?" His cheeks turned bright red, "yeah she saw me coming out of your room this morning."  I blushed, "oh" i said, "its okay though" he continued "she said she knew from the moment i volunteered to pick you up. Liv we need to talk we dont have time now, because we have to go but i want you to know i really like you." I was still shocked and frozen into place, "you volunteered to pick me up? you like me?" He smiled giving me a quick kiss, "Yep" he than took my hand and pulled me out the door. "Lets get to the crazy people." I looked down at our hands and thought that it felt so natural. I looked at him a smirk forming on my face, "you know you are one of the crazy people right?" He laughed, "yep" he said a proud smile on his face.

He opened the car door for me, i got in and before he closed the door he leaned in, his hand cupping my face taking me by surprise as he kissed me passionately. "That has to hold for a while at least till we are alone again."  He closed the door walked around the car and got in. He pulled out of the driveway, taking my hand in his our fingers intertwined. i sighed thinking to myself i could get used to this. 

"You okay?" he asked, "yeah i am fine" i smiled at him. We pulled up to the back of the diner, Chris parked the car took out his phone sending a text. He then got out of the car walking again around and opening the door for me making me blush. I just wasn't used to this kind of chivalry. As we walked to the back door of the diner it swung open revealing Scott standing in the doorway. "Finally you guys are here, the kids are getting restless." he said rolling his eyes. "Sorry my fault i said i couldn't find my phone, i am still expecting a phone call from my publisher over the launch of my book." At least it wasn't a total lie i thought to myself.
