It started at Christmas

Chapter 29

When we arrived at my home, soon to be Scott's home we got out the car. Scott came walking out the front door,  "hey you brought help"  Scott said smiling. "We are being forced" Mackie said dramatically. I rolled my eyes and walked into my house. "Scott has a key already?" Chris asked whispering in my ear. "Yes he has had one for years, for emergency's I told him to use it today to let himself in if he was earlier than us."  Lisa came walking from the kitchen holding a tray with coffee. "Let's have a cup of coffee first." Seb and Mackie greeted her giving her a hug, Mackie whispering something in her ear making her laugh.

While the others were drinking their coffee I walked trough the hours deciding what to leave behind and what I really wanted to take with me. I walked into the bedroom looking around me for now the only things I wanted to bring where my clothes, photo's and plants.  Looking around I smiled this house had a lot of memories I bought it when I just had moved here. Fun nights with friends, ex boyfriends. And of course the sad memories the break ups and the fact that my family would never been here. Nevertheless this has been my home. I sigh i am gonna miss this place this was my way to independence from my family, i know it sounds dramatic moving half way across the world to get away from your family, but to me it was the best choice i ever made. 

I felt two hands wrap around my waist a kiss in my neck, "everything okay babe?" Chris asks. "Yes just thinking about all the memories that i have here. And although i am exited to move in with you i would be lying if i say i am not gonna miss this place." i say letting out a sigh. "Its okay baby" Chris says, "i understand. Its okay to feel sad." I smile and lean back into him. "This is the house where i started my new life i say. This is the place where i finally could be me. I took me moving half way across the world to just be me..." i whisper, "that is what makes me sad." I turn around in Chris his arms, putting my arms around his neck. "But it brought me to you so it was worth it" i smile. He smiles, giving me a kiss. 

"Now lets get to work" i smile. I walk back to the rest Chris in tow. After i told everyone what i wanted to take with me, we divided the tasks. Mackie and Seb packing up my office, Lisa and Scott packing all my personal items in the living room and kitchen. Me and Chris packing my bedroom. First i walked with Mackie and Seb to my office asking them to pack all my plants, my desk and chair and couch basically everything in the room. Mackie went outside to get boxes leaving me alone with Seb. Seb looks at me smiling, "its okay to be nervous you know..." he whispers. "Its a big step, but trust me when i say that man loves you i have never seen him like this." I give him a small smile. "Well Lets get to work if you need anything i am in the bedroom packing. "

As i walked into the bedroom, Chris was already  setting up boxes. As i opened my walk in closet i sighed, "where to start." An hour later we had packed all my clothes. "I hope you have enough room for all my clothes" i smirk at Chris. "Dont worry sweetheart" he smiles snaking his arms around my waist resting his head on my shoulders giving me a kiss on my cheek. "We will make room or change one of the guestrooms into a closet. And i was thinking we could have an sun room build onto the house just like here, for you to make your office for you to write." 

"Really?" i say surprised. "Yeah of course i want you to feel at home and to be happy, and if you want to change anything else at the house just say the word."  I smile giving him a sweet kiss, "thanks baby, for now i am fine lets see when we get settled what we wanna change because i believe in deciding together."  Chris smiled, "Okay baby that sounds like a plan" Chris said giving me another kiss. 

I am going to check on everyone for a sec be right back, i walk to the kitchen where Lisa and Scott are just finishing up the last box. Most of my stuff would stay here it wouldn't make sense to take it with me, and this way Scott didn't have to buy everything new. They had taken all the pictures down wrapping them and putting them in boxes. The accessories where also neatly wrapped and put in boxes. "After we finish here we will make lunch and after lunch we move on to the living room" Lisa said.  "Okay let me know if you need anything" i said, ill go check on Seb and Mackie. I walked into my office to see Seb and Mackie standing in front of my bookcases.  They didn't notice me coming in, huddled together over one of my books.  "Ahum" i said clearing my throat, making the men jump and close the book dropping it to the floor.
