It started at Christmas

Chapter 7

Olivia pov

When i came downstairs the kids pulled me into the game room  "we're playing monopoly they yell," i groaned. Scott and Chris where already set up, the kids decided i was to sit right opposite Chris. i felt to eyes burn into me but i kept looking at the board and not up knowing i wouldn't be able to look him in the eye without blushing. 

About an hour in the kids where out, leaving just me, Scott and Chris. As we took a break Scott got up to fix us some drinks. As soon as he left the room Chris put his hand over mine playing with my fingers. "Liv?" he said in a whisper i just kept looking at our hands. "Why wont you look at me, please just look at me?" I looked up slowly still not looking him in the eyes. "Liv i am sorry i  didn't want to make you uncomfortable," he said still whispering. My eyes shot to his, i was just about to say something when Scott came walking in Chris let go of my hand. 

Scott didn't notice what was going on talking about the drinks Dodger strutting in behind him. Dodger sat next to me laying his head on my lap. "O and mom ordered pizza for everyone the will here in about an hour" Scott was just talking on and on. Chris his eyes never leaving me and my nerves so shot that i could only think of one thing to do... fuzz over Dodger. We played on but i wasnt in it anymore, i was confused and on edge. 10 minutes later i was broke and out of the game. 

I left the guys to finish the game, and walked into the kitchen Lisa was cooking already for Christmas dinner. She looked at me, "are you alright sweetheart?" she asked. "Yep just a little tired, didn't sleep much last night" i confessed. She looked at me worried like the caring woman she is. "Do you wanna talk about it?" I shrugged, "Just family trouble" i said, i left the kiss and confused feelings for Chris out.  "My family blaming me for not being there for Christmas" i continued. 

She looked at me confused, "you cant travel right now there is a ban." I shrugged "they dont care my mothers words were, if you wanted you could have found a way." I let out a sigh. "I am sorry sweetie." I shrugged my shoulders again, "Its okay i am used to it, everything is always my fault. I will never be good enough in there eyes." Lisa walked around the counter, and pulled me in a hug. "Sweetie you are an amazing woman and people who dont see it are crazy."  I wiped away a tear. "Thank you, and thanks for inviting me." Lisa smiled. "Of course sweetie we are happy to have you." 

The doorbell rang and a few seconds later Scott and Chris walked in with the pizzas. Like moths to a flame the rest of the family came into the kitchen. Sitting around the big dining room table the room was buzzing and chaotic, as i looked around me i could see how close they where and it was amazing to see how family could be. 

After dinner they all went on a walk with Dodger i opted to stay behind, i cleaned everything up from dinner and went upstairs to have a little power nap. Knowing that the day wasn't over yet.

I got woken up from kids running into the house an people talking and laughing. I freshened up and went downstairs . After the kids went to bed we all got into the game room playing 30 seconds, and having drinks. 

The chaos was complete when Scott and Chris got overly competitive. but didn't get anywhere, because me and Carly where absolutely destroying them. The others went to bed already needing to wake up early to be on kid duty. When we took a little break i went into the kitchen to fix us some more drinks. We where all already all a little tipsy, i was just making the drinks when i felt a hand on my low back and a hot breath in my neck.  A shiver running down my spine a warmth spreading to my body making my whole body feeling like it was on fire. "Next round you're on my team"  Chris said in a low tone in my ear. I turned around the alcohol making me a little more brazen, being face to face our body's pressed against each other. I hovered my lips over his my hands wondering over his chest, "is that so Mr Evans?" i said in a low whisper. I moved my lips to his ear continuing to whisper, "and what if i dont?" grazing his earlobe with my teeth. A low growl escaped his lips. I took a step back and walked back into the game room.
