It started at Christmas

Chapter 73

Olivia pov

We have been a week in the hospital but finally we are allowed to go home. I am still sore from the c-section but i am happy to go home.  The girls are doing amazing. All 3 have daddy's eyes. We tried breastfeeding but i dont have enough milk for all 3 so we doing both. 

Chris is feeding Ariel and i am feeding Anna and Aurora. We look at each other and smile. The doctor comes in smiling. "Are you guys ready to go home?" she asks. "I think so, i am a little nervous but i cant wait to sleep in my own bed again with my husband" i say smiling at Chris. 

"Well just remember sleep when the girls are sleeping and to take it easy dont try and do everything perfect with 3 babies that is almost impossible." The doctor says smiling. 

"There is one other thing, if i where you i would use the side entrance because there is press at the front and the back. The side entrance is only mainly used by the staff so there will no press there security will walk with you just to be safe." Chris helps me out of bed and we load the girls in the pram. I smile as they all are sleeping. We thank the doctor and on our way out we thank all the nurses. 

Security escorts us to our car and we load the girls into the back. Then Chris helps me into the car and when i sit down he cups my face with my hands and kisses me. "I love you" he says after we pull apart. "I love you to" i say smiling. He gets in the car and very slowly he drives home being extra vigilant. 

We drive up to the house and I let out a big sigh. "Home sweet home" I smile at Chris. "Sometimes I still can't believe we are a real family now" he says kissing me. "Believe it" I say smiling. "Let's get our girls inside." I say happy to be home.  We grab the the girls and walk inside. "SURPRISE!!"

All our family and friends are standing in the living room. Every where is pink. I put on a smile and they all swarm around us. Chris sees the panic on my face and takes over. "Guys I love that you all are here but please not all at once there will be plenty of time to see the girls." I look at him and smile, "thank you" i mouth to him. He pulls me to his side. Scarlet is the first to take a look. "God their so beautiful" Scarlet says smiling at the 3 sleeping babies.

Mackie and Seb come walking up, "we wanna see our goddaughters" they both say laughing. I smile as the both stand over the sleeping girls. "We are your godfathers and we are going to spoil you rotten" Mackie said. Seb continued "and we are gonna teach you all the things daddy doesn't want you to know." I started laughing at Chris his face.

After a few more people came up and said hello to the girls I found it enough for today. The girls where waking up and needed to be fed I didn't want anyone else to do it yet, so I took them to the nursery. I fed them one by one so I could give them equal attention and after I had changed their diapers I put them into the crib. Chris appeared behind me smiling. "I sent everyone home" he said. "Thank you" I said wrapping my arms around him. I started to yawn and Chris lifted me up and took me to our room. He put me on the bed and crawled in beside me wrapping his arms around me. I reached over to the nightstand turning on the baby monitor and we both fell asleep.

It has been 2 weeks since we where home, it has been tough 3 babies but both Chris and I loved it. Today was the day the dogs would come home. Lisa had been caring for them to let us ease into parenthood.
I was nervous I just hoped the dogs would accept the girls

Chris was at his mother's house to pick them up. The girls haven't been out of the house yet. We wanted to wait at least the 2 months recommended period and after that we would see. The press was eager to catch the first glimpse of them so we discussed putting a photo on Instagram but for now we would just enjoy our time together other than Lisa we wanted some time alone to just be the 5 of us and the dogs.

Chris was amazing, nothing was to much he wanted to do everything. They already had him wrapped around their little fingers. The other night I woke up and he wasn't in the bed. I found him in the nursery sitting in front of the crib just talking to them. How much he loved them and he would always protect them.

As I stood there watching him a warm feeling spread trough my body. God how did I get so lucky.

The front door opened and Dodger and Asher came running in. I sat on my knees and they both greeted me giving me kisses. Chris stood in the doorway smiling "they have missed us i think" he said walking towards us. "I have missed them to" i said standing up. "Did everything go okay?" Chris ask.  "Yes i fed the girls and put them down for there nap. Ariel was a bit fussy but she is asleep now. Anna and Aurora where out like a light after feeding time. What do you want for dinner?" i ask.  "I dont mind baby we can order something." I shake my head laughing.  "We have to cook sometime" i said. "But not today" he said putting his arms around me.  I sigh, "fine than the question still stands what do you want for dinner?" He kisses me. "Lets do Chinese for dinner." I nodded in agreement and Chris ordered dinner. 

I had taken two bites of dinner when it had arrived when the baby monitor went off. I put my food down and walked to the nursery. Aurora had woken up and was crying i checked her diaper and changed it. Ariel and Anna where still sleeping so i took Aurora with me to not have her wake up the others. I sat down on the couch talking to her and trying to get her to sleep again. When Chris was done with his food he took her from me and i ate. 

I was just done with my food when there was another cry coming from the nursery. Chris gave me Aurora, "ill go" he says smiling. I could hear on the baby monitor how he was talking to Anna and Ariel. About 15 minutes later he came into the living room with both Anna and Ariel. He gave me both girls and now i was sitting with 3 girls in my lap.  I looked at my perfect girls and couldn't help that a tear ran down my cheek. "You okay baby?" Chris asked looking at me worried.  "Yes" i said smiling at Chris "these are happy tears. I cant believe how lucky we are that all 3 are happy and healthy" i said smiling. "Our little miracles. They have you eyes" i said smiling at Chris. "They have your nose ... thank god" and i started laughing. I have to pee and one for one i gave Chris our girls. 

I came back and sat back down next to Chris. Do you think this is a good time to let the dogs meet them? He nodded let put them in to the swing chairs.  We have gotten them from Robert and Susan they arrived 2 days after we got home from the hospital. 3 egg shaped swing chairs. The girls loved them. I took Ariel off of Chris and put her in one of the chairs and walked back to get Anna and put her into another chair Chris put Aurora in the third chair and went to get the dogs from the yard. Dodger and Asher stopped in there Tracks when the saw the 3 tiny humans in their chairs. Not wanting them feel left out we petted them and reassured them that it was okay. Dodger sniffed the 3 girls and looked at Chris he then laid down in front of them looking at the girl who was making a noise changing his direction as the noise came from another angle.  Asher was sitting between Anna and Ariel laying his head on Ariel who was making little baby noises. "Careful" i said giving him a scratch, "these are your little sisters. You have to take good care of them." Anna had fallen asleep and Dodger walked over to Aurora and sniffed her and then like Asher had done with Ariel put his head on Aurora. 

I smiled at the dogs as they just sat there fully engulfed by the little humans. Aurora started crying and Dodger Lifted his head tilting it looking at her. He gave her a little kiss and she stopped crying looking at him with her eyes almost popping out. Chris was taking photo after photo. Ever since the girls where born he had come obsessed with taking pictures.  "I was thinking..." he said "maybe we could do a photo shoot with a photographer and post one of those on Instagram."  I smiled, "I like that idea, and maybe we can take one as a family and give it to your mother."  He smiled and bent down kissing me. Anna started crying and i laughed. "She doesn't want to share the attention" i teased. "It is time for the girls to eat." I said. 

I sat down on the couch with Anna giving her her bottle as Chris sat down by Ariel and Aurora who where still admired by Dodger and Asher. Both dogs where extremely gentle and it was such a relief. When i was done with feeding Anna Chris took her from me and put her back in the chair. He gave me Ariel and i fed her, last one was Aurora. 

We had put the girls to bed and both of us where now laying in bed ourselfs the dogs where laying in the hallway in front of the nursery door and even Chris telling them they could sleep in the bedroom didn't move them from there spot. We both soon drifted off to sleep.
