It started at Christmas

Chapter 12

I woke up an arm slung over me, i looked to the side to see Chris was still in a deep sleep. I slipped out without waking him and walked to my own room, getting in the shower and changing into some jeans and a t shirt. I packed my stuff so i would be ready to go. I then walked downstairs, arriving in the kitchen the only one their was Lisa. "Good morning" i said. "Good morning sweetheart" Lisa said smiling at me. "Nobody up yet?" i asked. Lisa laughed, "not at this time no its only 7 in the morning. Even the kids aren't up yet" she laughed, Lisa took stuff out off the fridge to make preparations for breakfast. "Can i help?" i asked. "Sure sweetie you can make pancakes if you want." While i was making the batter for the pancakes i looked at Lisa, "i wanted to thank you i said." She looked at me surprised "for what sweetheart?"  I sighed, "For inviting me into your home for the holidays." She came up to me pulling me into a hug, "of course sweetheart it was my pleasure."  She looked at me smiling,  "I wanted to ask" Lisa started "since you gave me a spa weekend for two if you would wanna go with me?" I looked surprised, "you wanna go with me?"  "Yes of course" she said smiling at me , "I  would love to," I whisper. 

We continued cooking breakfast, talking about everything and nothing. When i was plating the last of the pancakes i felt to arms wrap around me and a kiss in my neck.  "Morning" i said blushing at the show off affection in front of his mother. "The bed felt really empty this morning" he whispered in my ear, i leaned my head back. "You looked so peaceful asleep i didn't wanna wake you.  You want coffee?" i asked. "Yes but ill get it, you're busy" he said kissing my cheek.

"So what are the plans?" Lisa asked breaking the silence. Chris and i looked at her surprised by the question. "What do you mean ma?" Chris asked. "Well have you to discussed how to go on from here?" 

"Maaaaa" Chris groaned making me chuckle.  "What sweetie just wanting to know if i have a new daughter in law?" she smirked. I felt my face go bright red. "We haven't really talked about it ma, we are going to her place later today to spend some time just the two of us." 

"Good" Lisa said, "just dont fuck it up" she looked at him with a stern face. "Maaaa!" he said shocked by her cursing. I burst out laughing not being able to keep a straight face anymore. "Just saying sweetheart i actually like this one."  "Oh god i exclaimed," my face turning even brighter red if it was even possible. 

One by one the rest of the family came in getting breakfast and enjoying the last few ours we where together. i was leaning against the counter looking at the picture in front of me, the love between this family was so great. It warmed my heart and made me sad at the same time knowing my own family will never be this way. Scott walked over to me standing next to me. "Penny for your thoughts?" I smiled at him "just admiring the view" i said. He looked at me eyebrow raised, "yeah yeah i know my brother is hot," Scott rolled his eyes.   I hit him playfully on his shoulder. "That is not what i meant" i said. "It is just nice to see a family loving each other unconditionally."  Scott chuckled "yeah even tho sometimes we find each other annoying we would catch a bullet for each other".  I smiled, "It is nice i said" letting out a deep sigh. Scott pulled me into a hug, "sweetheart you're part of that now. Unless my brothers screws it up" he said smirking.  I raised my eyebrow, "you're not the first person to say that today, is there something i should know?"  He laughed "no i am just messing with you.  I have a feeling that you and my brother will be great together." 

After everyone was done we cleaned up and Carly and her family where the first to leave. After that Shanna left. Leaving only Scott, Chris  and me. Chris went upstairs to take a shower. Scott came sitting next to me at the table. "Can i ask you something?" Scott said. "Of course" i said. "What is going to happen to our lunch dates..." I looked at him confused,  "what do you mean?" i asked. 

"Are we still going to have lunch every week?" I pulled Scott into a hug  "of course were still going to do that. Just the two of us." i said smiling, "cant go changing traditions now." He looked at me a smile finally appearing on his face. "Look Scott i know this is new and we have discussed that in the past women only where friends with you because of your brother, and i cant imagine what you might have thought when you found out. But i never mend to hurt you..."  Scott smiled at me "Sweetie he said taking my hand in his i know and whatever happens you will never loose my friendship. I am good as long as we get some friend time every now and then" he said joking. "I promise" i said sticking out my pinkie interlocking it with his. 

When Chris walked downstairs he had our suitcases with him. He walked pulling me into him, "do you mind if we swing by my house first i have to drop off Scott an pack some stuff to take to your house for me and Dodger if its okay i bring him of course." He said smiling.  "Dont be silly if Dodger isn't coming you're not coming" i smirked. "Is that so?" he said, "i am beginning to think that you like Dodger more than me?"  I smirked, "Huh you picked up on that did you?" making Scott laugh. "Oh i am going to like this" Scott said laughing. 

We said goodbye to Lisa i once again thanked her for everything, promising to make plans fast to go on our spa weekend. 

We got in the car driving of to Chris his house, Scott complained that Chris was going to stay with me and me not staying with them. "Scott we want to have some alone time" Chris said smirking.  "I know she is your friend first but i want to spend some time with my girl." The words my girl sending shivers trough my spine making me blush. "Fine" Scott sighed "i understand." 

After a short drive we reached Chris his house, after a quick house tour he packed some stuff for him and Dodger. We said goodbye to Scott and got in the car driving to my house our hands intertwined. I looked over to Chris how was concentrating on the road.  i couldn't help but stare at his beautiful face, i put my hand in the nape in his neck playing with his hair. He looked over at me and smiled. "You okay baby?" he asked, "yep" i said "more than okay."  We pulled into the driveway got out and walked inside, Dodger running straight to the living room jumping on the couch like he was home. "Well someone is at home straight away" Chris smirked. "Well he has stayed here before..." i said smiling.  

It felt weird having him here and i was getting self conscious. "Do you want something to drink or eat?" i said walking into my kitchen. I was standing with my back against my kitchen counter. Chris walked over to me putting his hands on each side of me boxing me in. He hovered his lips over mine, "am i making you nervous baby?" he said in a low deep voice making the hairs on my body stand up. "A little" i whispered blushing.  "Sweetheart i promise you, i will never do anything you dont want me to." I looked him in the eyes, putting my arms around his neck. "I am not worried about that" i said our lips still hovering over each other. "I just cant believe its just the two of us all alone." He gave me a sweet kiss, "believe it baby its just you and me." Kissing me again this time full of passion.
