It started at Christmas

Chapter 10

Chris pov.

It was early in the morning and there was a loud knock on the door, I could hear it where the kids. I pulled Liv closer kissing her awake, all of a sudden the door flew open and the kids came running in, "we are going to open the gifts" they yelled. All of sudden they registered that me and Liv where in the bed together. They run out again yelling to the rest of the family, "Uncle Chris and Auntie Liv had a sleepover." Making us both laugh. 

We got up, Liv going into the guest bathroom taking a quick shower. I went to my bedroom walking into my own bathroom taking a quick shower myself and putting on my Christmas pj's. I walked downstairs. Walking into the kitchen i was met with a room of grinning people. "What?" i asked. "Soooo you and Liv?"  Carly started. "Yep" i said, right then Liv walked in everyone looked at her grins plastered on there faces. i face palmed myself, "can you guys make it more obvious?" Liv stood there picking on the sleeves of her Christmas pj's, she looked absolutely adorable. She started to apologize, "i am sorry she said i didn't mean to make things uncomfortable."  Her face concerned. "Dont be silly" ma said walking over to her, pulling her into a hug. "We all love you and along you two are happy we are." Ma walked back into the kitchen finishing breakfast. I walked over to Liv pulling her into my side, giving her a kiss on her temple. whispering in her ear, "are you okay?". She looked up at me smiling and whispered back "more than okay. Just happy we dont have to hide anymore i know it was only 2 days but i felt so guilty and scared what everyone would think."

After we had breakfast we went into the family room.  I sat down on the couch when Liv wanted to walk by my to sit somewhere i pulled her to me and into my lap. Now everyone knew i wasn't gonna let any moment pass by to be close to her. The kids were the first to open a few presents ripping everything open yelling in excitement. After they opened a few present they could choose a gift for one of the adults to open, and as always ma could open one first. I could feel Liv getting nervous knowing it was hers for my mother. "She is gonna love it" i whispered in her ear.  She smiled at me, "you dont even know what i got her. How would you know if she likes it?"  I kissed her cheek, "Because you gave it to her." Ma opened the gift revealing a bathrobe and fluffy slippers with a voucher for two to a luxury spa in the city. Ma's face lit up at the note saying that she deserved some pampering and could bring anyone she liked. 

Ma stood up next choosing the gift for the next person. After opening a few more gifts it was Scott's turn to pick, picking a gift for Carly she opened it revealing a shirt of Carly's favorite comedian an tickets to an upcoming show. including a hotel reservation for her and a friend. I smiled knowing Liv arranged this and the fact that instead of going for material things to go for something that would create memory's made me happy.  Shanna got tickets for a concert with hotel reservation, Carly's husband got also tickets for a concert and the kids all got board games.  Then it was time for Scott his gift. As he opened it, he got tears in his eyes. Me being confused i whispered in Liv her ear, "what did you get him to make him cry?"  She held on to me a little tighter  "Just wait and see" she whispered back. He pulled out a book with a note on top.  He started reading

Check the first page, said the note. He opened the book and started reading more tears running over his face. 

"This book is dedicated to my friend Scott Evans, in the last 10 years i couldn't ask for a better friend. I love you."

Everyone fell silent.  Scott looked at Liv in shock, "you dedicated your book to me?" he asked, Liv smiled and nodded "yes" she said. They both got up and hugged, whispering something to each other i couldn't hear. Liv continued, "and it is the first copy so nobody has it yet."  Scott smiled "i am honored," Liv laughed "just dont go spoiling stuff or leave it around somewhere it will not come out until the 14th of January." He looked at her "I wont i promise" he smiled, "cant wait to read it." 

Then Scott walked to the tree grabbing the gift i had my eye on all night. I could see Liv was getting more nervous. While Scott handed me the gift, i took Liv her hand in mine, "whatever it is i said to her i am sure i will love it." The gift was big flat and heavy. I tore off the paper revealing a picture frame with drawings in Disney style. One was of Dodger and me, one with the whole family and one with just me and ma. I looked at it in shock. "How did you get this?" i said still in shock. She smiled "a friend of mine is illustrator for Disney i asked her and she loved it so there you go." I put the frame down pulling her into a hug she looked up to me. "You like it?" she whispered, "like it? i love it" i whispered pulling her into a deep kiss. The rest of the family was checking the drawings out also loving it.  After everyone had seen it i walked over to the tree where the last gift stood knowing it was for Liv i grabbed it and walked up to it, she looked at me and i said "if you dont like it you can get something else."

She sat down with the box in front of her ripping the paper and opening the box she looked confused, inside was a stuffed German Sheppard as she grabbed the note and started reading tears where rolling down her cheeks. I sat next down to her putting my arm around her in a hug. She started reading out loud. "We arranged that you could have first pick out of puppys born 2 weeks ago, we hope you like it and are ready for a new dog. If not you can choose something else."  She looked at the note in shock and then at the stuffed animal. "Omg you guys got me a puppy?" she asked still in shock. "Yess they where born two weeks ago and you could have the first pick of the litter." A smile appearing on her face, "i cant believe it she said this is the best gift ever." She went around the room thanking everyone.  When she hugged Scott he whispered something in her ear, making her look at me in shock. She walked over to me standing in front of me wrapping her arms around my neck and pulling me into a kiss. "You like it?" i asked. "Like?" she said smirking at me "i love it."   She looked around the room, "Thank you everyone" she said blushing

"Good because next week we are going to take a look for the first time." Getting me all exited because the idea of going to look at puppy's with Liv was thrilling. 

After all the gifts were opened everyone went there own way. The kids went playing with all there toys, Ma and my sisters went into the kitchen preparing Christmas dinner and Scott went to his room starting in Liv's book. Liv was sitting on the couch the stuffed animal in her lap. She yawned i stretched out my hand an pulled her up. i walked out the room her hand in mine leading her to my bedroom. I kissed her walking her back to the bed and letting us fall onto the mattress, i pulled her into me wrapping her into my arms enjoying her in my arms never wanting to let her go. I kissed her deeply and we made out for a while before we fell asleep. The only thing going trough my mind how much i loved this and how right it felt.
