It started at Christmas

Chapter 84

Liv pov

Today was the girls birthday and we were throwing a big party with friends and family. We had a caterer provide all the food because Chris didn't want me to be on my feet all day. The pregnancy went great morning sickness went away pretty quickly. I felt great on some minor inconveniences here and there. The press hadn't picked up on it yet and we where really enjoying it this time drama free. I was now 22 weeks and tomorrow we had scheduled a ultra sound to find out the gender. Originally we could have found out a week ago but to make sure Chris wouldn't blab I rescheduled for after the party.
I was a little nervous for the party even though I had already met most of his friends. I hadn't met some of his fellow avengers cast mates and they were all coming. Some of them hadn't even met the girls yet and Chris was exited to show them of to everyone. They had started to walk although not really steady yet but each day they where getting more mobile and I knew it wouldn't take long before we would be running after them non stop.

I was putting the girls in their outfits and getting them ready. Chris was greeting guests as they started to come in and there was a knock on the door. Lisa came in smiling. "There are the birthday girls" she cooed and I smiled trying to fight back my tears.  I let out a deep sigh, "you okay sweetheart?" Lisa asked. "Yeah I am fine can't believe they are turning 1 already."  Lisa chuckled "yes time goes by so fast, before you know it they will be going to school." she said"  I smiled, "or have their first love." I continued. "Don't say that to Chris" Lisa laughed "he will have a heart attack." I giggled, "do you mind getting Chris?" I asked. "Of course not sweetie I will send him your way." She gave me a hug and walked back out.

A few moments later Chris appeared. He smiled and walked over to me pulling me into a hug. "Can you believe they are already one year old"  I said letting out a deep breath. "Time goes by so fast...." I said smiling.  "Stoooop" he said chuckling. "Is everyone here?" I asked. "Yes" he said smiling, he released me and looked at the girls who where standing in their cribs looking at us. "Are you girls ready to party!" Chris said all hyped up. I laughed. "What?" He asked looking curiously at me. "You won't be saying that in 15 years" I said joking. "OMG" he said rolling his eyes "I don't even wanna think about that...." Chris lifted Anna and Aurora and I took Ariel out of her crib.

 
We walked out to living room. "Happy birthday" everybody yelled as we walked in and the girls looked around confused at all the people. Chris and I made the rounds with the girls and they were shy with some and squealing with others. Last ones where Seb and Mackie and Scott. "There are our princesses"  Mackie, Seb and Scott said smiling. The girls reached out their little hands and they took them from us. "Let's go play" they said smiling and walked off. Chris and I looked at each other and started laughing. "Well that was easy" Chris said. Chris and I mingled being congratulated on the pregnancy.
It was a wonderful day filled with all the people we loved being there to celebrate with us. After the party was over and we said goodbye to everyone we where left with Mackie and Seb who where gonna stay over at the house.
"We have a surprise for you both" Mackie and Seb said smiling. We looked at them confused. "We are staying in town next month and where thinking that maybe we could babysit for a day so you 2 could have some alone time." Chris and I both smiled. "Are you guys sure?" I asked, "I mean 3 babies are a lot of work." I said unsure of this plan. "We are sure" Seb said smiling. "They are our God daughters so we would love to spend some time with them," Mackie said.  I nodded and smiled. "I think we can let you guys babysit together for a day" Chris said grinning. "Can we put them to bed?" Seb asked. "Sure" I said smiling and I walked with them to the nursery explaining the routine. 

I left letting them read the stories and walked to the living room sitting down next to Chris snuggling into him. So I was thinking he said. "Oh oh" I said smiling at him. "You know how I have to leave next week for a location shoot?" I looked up at him "Yes" I said, "well I talked with ma about it... and she will stay here to help you out." I sat back up and looked at him confused. "Why?" Is all I asked. "What do you mean why?" I looked at him, "don't you trust me to take care of our girls?" I asked feeling tears come trough. "What no!" He said looking at me shocked. "Well it seems like it because last time you had to stay overnight in New York you also called your mom to help." i said annoyed. "I just want you to have some help" he said. "No you don't trust me to be alone with our kids" I said feeling myself getting angry.
