He could feel the person in his embrace trembling. Her tears soaked through his shirt and it stuck to his chest like a second skin.

"It's alright, it's okay now, don't be afraid." Lisa stroked the back of her crown gently. He lowered his head slightly, brushing his lips against her hairline just above her temple.

From the berating voice he heard through the vent just now, he could guess what had happened—a dirty deal had been offered over dinner so that a business deal could be secured.

Jennie had obviously been set up.

Lisa's eyes squinted and the air around him went cold. From the corner of his eye, he saw the knob to a private booth jiggled before two men and a woman rushed out in a threatening manner.

Lisa ignored them completely as if he had not seen them at all. He lowered his head once more and allowed his lips to flit from Jennie's temple to the corner of her eye before he whispered softly, "I'm here, don't be afraid."

Just now, Jennie was filled with relief after a disaster, so she vented her emotions in Lisa's embrace without thinking too much about it. Now, Lisa's low and raspy voice was near her skin as it slipped into her ears. The warmth of his breath flitted across the corner of her eye and fluttered across her lips.

A loud explosion went off in her head as Jennie suddenly realized that both of them were just too close, and just where did he put his mouth!

Her ears were so red they were practically emitting smoke. Jennie quickly pushed the man away. "You... Get your mouth further away from me!"

Lisa said nothing in reply. "..."

'This thankless ingrate!'

"Don't make a scene, I'm comforting you so kindly." Lisa then pushed her head inwards once more.

Jennie's temple and the corner of her eye felt hot after he brushed his lips across them, and she could not move a muscle at all. It felt like a piece of iron was pushing against her skin; it was like she was worried that their contact would be even more intimate if she moved even the slightest bit.

Noticing her rigid form and the fact that she did not dare to move, the curve of Lisa's lips went upward as he said against the corner of her eye, "Do you want revenge?"

Jennie blinked her eyes a few times and her long, curled eyelashes skimmed Lisa's lips, leaving behind a tingle.

Right as she wanted to look up and ask, she felt Lisa press the back of her crown in place, not allowing her to lift up her head and instead, pushed her face nearer to his chest.

Only then did Lisa calmly lifted his gaze to look at the trio standing before him.

Zhu Jingjing could not understand how Jennie could still meet such a handsome man while trying to escape. A single look at his gaze and expression was enough to tell that this man carried himself with magnificence.

You Weiwen did not recognize Lisa and all he could see was Jennie hiding in his embrace. He exclaimed, "Jennie, what exactly are you doing in public? Have you no shame? Come down now and apologize to President Yao now!"

However, President Yao's voice could be heard instead as he stuttered, "President... President Manoban!"

As if being informed by someone, the general manager of Hotel Sheng Yue immediately rushed over to the scene. Noticing the direction of Lisa's stare and the unknown girl in his tight embrace, the general manager wisely kept his distance by not standing close.

Under his breath, he whispered, "Master Manoban, he is Yao Xingzhi, Vice President of Ding Shang."

Lisa's gaze was icy cold, yet his slender and distinct fingers massaged the back of Jennie's crown slowly and surely in a bid for her to relax.

"I had no idea that this was how Ding Shang approached business deals," said Lisa coldly.

"President... President Manoban, this is a misunderstanding...a misunderstanding..." clarified Yao Xingzhi with a shaky voice.

"My girlfriend was forced to escape from the vent of the washroom. A misunderstanding, you say?" Lisa felt the person in his embrace struggled against his grasp, obviously provoked by being called his girlfriend.

Lisa's eyes narrowed before he tightened his grasp. With a low voice, he warned, "Knock it off, be good."

Jennie was quiet. "..."

How could she not be provoked when she was suddenly made his girlfriend?

"I'll kiss you if you don't obey!" Lisa lowered his head so that his mouth was right by her ear before he blew a breath of hot air towards her earlobe.

"..."

What was this hooligan trying to do? Why was nobody stopping him!

Suddenly, a loud "thump" could be heard. Yao Xingzhi fell to the ground kneeling, shocked at hearing Lisa calling her 'his girlfriend'.

The young Louis Manoban could almost feel Yao Xingzhi's pain.

"President... President Manoban... I... I had no idea, I'm truly sorry, this is all a misunderstanding. Miss Kim... Miss Kim misunderstood, I don't want to..." Yao Xingzhi stuttered nervously, his anxiety revealing itself in his tone.

Lisa ignored him. Instead, he lowered his head once more, speaking to Jennie in a gentle and mellow tone. "Babe, I'll let you decide."

Jennie remained silent. "..."

Although his mellow tone could be clearly heard by everyone, his lips were pressed to her earlobe tightly. His warm lips kneaded her earlobe lightly as he spoke, the light touch causing Jennie to tremble involuntarily. She did not want to be so undignified, but there was no controlling it.

All she could feel was the heat blooming on her earlobe and the goosebumps rising on her scalp.

"It's all my fault, President Manoban! My fault!" Yao Xingzhi went limp from fear and he continued in a bid to stop Miss Kim from speaking. "I was blind, I had no idea Miss Kim is your...your girlfriend. Miss Kim, I'm so sorry for treating you so rudely, and there's no need to stoop down to my level. Do you...do you want to hit me in return?"

On his knees still, Yao Xingzhi inched closer towards the pair. His actions were met with a cold glare from Lisa, which prompted him to stop immediately. "No, no. Hitting me will dirty your hands, I'll do it myself."

Without hesitation, he started slapping himself hard. The smacks were clear and distinct.

As long as Lisa did not order him to stop, he would not.

"Since you're already kneeling, you might as well sing 'Conquest'," ordered Lisa in a clear voice.

Everyone else said nothing. "..."

Yao Xingzhi was stunned for a while, but he started singing almost immediately. Not only did he sound like he was on the verge of crying but he was also off-key and his duck-like voice was terribly displeasing to the ears.

Lisa then turned his head to say to the general manager of Sheng Yue. "Have him kneel here until daybreak. Then, have him sing 'Cloudy Day' before sending him away. Get someone to watch him and don't let him stop."
