Lisa squeezed her hand. "Don't worry. You know Kang Seulgi and Kang Daniel, right?"

He saw Jennie nodding and continued, "Both of their wives are from normal families. Kang Seulgi's wife, Bae Irene, could be considered as his childhood sweetheart. But her family went bankrupt and she lives just like the common people. Kang Daniel's wife, Park Jihyo, comes from a family of intellectuals, but her family situation also turned better at a later time. Both of them are exactly like you, ordinary company employees. No one would say anything against them, and they don't care for statuses. Besides, they are here too. You can chat with them later."

Jennie felt better after hearing this. However, she still has some reservations about the meeting, especially since she did not really know anybody there.

They heard laughter coming from within the room when they arrived at the door. Sheng Yue's private room has a pretty thick door, and the soundproofing was not bad. If one could hear a sound coming from the inside, the laughter must have been really loud.

Lisa did not knock, they would not have heard it anyway. Moreover, Lisa and his friends had never treated each other as outsiders.

As the door opened, the laughter inside was subsided. Lisa gave a slight smile with his hands on Jennie's shoulders. He let her in first. Jennie was so nervous. She could feel her head going numb, and her legs felt like they no longer belonged to her. She had no idea how she managed to walk in there.

Krystal spotted Lisa standing outside the door and was momentarily stunned. She frowned.

"What is it?" Cha Eunwoo asked curiously when he noticed that Krystal had stopped walking.

Krystal did not answer him, but she pulled his hand and rushed up to Lisa before he went into the private room. She called out quickly, "Master Manoban."

Lisa paused and turned around slowly. He saw Cha Eunwoo and Krystal walking over. He raised one of his thick, dark eyebrows and nodded at Krystal. "Miss Kim."

After that, he looked at Cha Eunwoo wordlessly, as if asking who he was.

Cha Eunwoo was momentarily embarrassed. Being a nobody in someone else's eyes was a nauseous feeling, especially when they recognized your wife but not you.

Krystal said with a smile, "This is my fiancé, Cha Eunwoo."

Lisa looked at him and nodded again. His expression did not reveal anything in particular, but Cha Eunwoo felt that Lisa was laughing at him with his clear, dark eyes, calling him a man who lived off a woman.

Krystal felt that the back of the woman who went into the room before Lisa looked familiar. Too familiar. The name Jennie popped up in her head, even though she found it ridiculous.

She knew it could not be Jennie. How could Jennie be with Lisa? How could there be so close to the point he was holding her shoulders protectively? She could not get the familiar back out of her mind though. She had to see this person for herself, so she called out Lisa determinedly.

Now that she was standing in front of Lisa, her eyes tried to wander past Lisa to look into the room. However, all she could see were numerous shadows moving about. She could not see anything. The other private rooms opened and closed constantly. Laughter and the sound of loud drinking could be heard coming from within. There was also the sound of waiters serving up food and pushing their carts of dirty plates mixed up in the rest of the noises. She could not tell if it was Jennie's voice in the private room.

While she felt that this was a ridiculous thought that she could not believe, her heart did not feel good about it.

Lisa was much taller than Cha Eunwoo, and he stood tall in front of her now. He had a slender frame but could still block everything from her sight. Krystal did not dare to look openly inside the room. She heard someone call out the name 'Seulgi' faintly and knew that it was a gathering of Lisa's circle of friends. None of them were people she could afford to offend.
