However, Nam Yeji still managed to run off halfway.
Park Shin-Hye could not get a call through to Nam Yeji, and instincts told her that Nam Yeji would first get to Eunwoo in Kim Mao. She then decided to head toward Kim Mao by herself.
It was after she had arrived that she found out Nam Yeji had never gone there, and she had no idea where she was hiding.
Park Shin-Hye did not know that Nam Yeji had gone to meet with Jennie first. She wanted Jennie to persuade Nam Goong Min and Park Shin-Hye to accept what had happened between her and Eunwoo.
"You have to clear things up with them, that everything you said wasn't true. Tell them that you said those things out of jealousy for my relationship with Eunwoo, and purely out of spite for Eunwoo breaking up with you. You couldn't bear seeing Eunwoo doing well in life so you decided to ruin him. Go! Go explain to my parents so that they won't be against Eunwoo and I being together. You know clearly about how it's like between Eunwoo and Krystal, they're a loveless couple and divorce is all but inevitable. I'm not ruining their happiness if all there is between them is a piece of certificate. It's just like when a normal couple finds someone better and breaks up to be with them! " Nam Yeji cKimched on to Jennie's arm tightly.
Jennie halted in her steps and turned with a stone-cold expression. She forcefully shrugged off Nam Yeji's hand.
Jennie felt nothing but disgust for Nam Yeji's words. She had intended to lecture her patiently, but all that was left in her heart was utter disgust.
Jennie held her breath and glared at Nam Yeji coldly, suppressing her brooding anger.
Nam Yeji had never seen Jennie this mad, only now realizing that Jennie's coldness toward her previously was already her being nice.
Nam Yeji took a small step backward subconsciously. She could not help but shudder in this situation.
"It is no wonder that you and Eunwoo got together, you guys are birds of a feather!" Jennie sighed coldly and stepped closer toward Nam Yeji and spoke in a low voice, "Do you know what Eunwoo told me all those years ago? He wanted me to tell the Kim Family that I couldn't let him go, and that I was jealous of him and Krystal, even though it was him who had eyes for the Kim Family wealth. What he said was exactly what you spoke just now, word for word, even the tone of it was identical. You were so shameless, willing to ignore what's right or wrong. I know your parents made an honest living to give you a better life and raise your living standard. I would never lie to them for shameless people like you."
"How could you say that! That could've been you who had that thinking back then! Eunwoo could've been right about you," Nam Yeji retorted stubbornly, her face green with agitation.
"Yeah, if I was what you said I was, it would help the case for me not clearing things up for you more." Jennie laughed sarcastically. She looked at Nam Yeji up and down and noticed that she was not dressed as luxurious as she used to. She asked, "Looking at how you're dressed, you must have sneaked out, didn't you?"
Nam Yeji clenched her teeth as she did dress in the clothes that she got from the night bazaar during her university days. All the nice clothes gifted by Eunwoo were kept by Park Shin-Hye, and she wanted Nam Yeji to return it to him when the opportunity arose.
Nam Yeji found Park Shin-Hye's actions laughable. The clothes gifted to her were women's sizes and they fitted her nicely. What use would it be for Eunwoo if they were returned to him?
Returning them would show her being petty and small-minded.
Regardless, Nam Yeji still ended up with nothing nice to wear. Park Shin-Hye even had eyes on her, making sure she didn't leave with anything fancy.
