It was silent in the car. Jennie really wanted to ask why he was so nice to her when they had never met each other before. The first time they met was when she had accidentally gone into the male restroom.

She felt she was not the kind of person that someone would fall in love with at first sight, especially when that someone was Lisa.

Lisa's status was something that she could not live up to.

However, she kept these questions hidden in her heart and did not ask it out loud. Sitting in the passenger seat of his car felt a little unreal and uneasy.

They had parted ways quite unhappily last night, who would have thought they would see each other again so soon. Even though at the moment, she felt that what happened to her was a personal matter and he really had no good reason to be mad.

...

Jennie had thought Lisa would take her to a hospital nearby, she had not expected him to make a turn towards Chu Tian Hospital.

Her wound was just a skin injury and there was no blood. She had thought that it was just a bump on where the bag had hit her. She could just wait for the swelling to subside naturally. It was nothing serious. However, Lisa insisted that she do an X-Ray scan as if she will suffer a concussion.

In the end, even the doctor had affirmed that the wound was not serious and prescribed some medicine for her face. All she had to do was apply the cream on her wound for a few times.

Back on the first floor, Lisa made Jennie sit on a sofa to wait while he went to get her prescription from the dispensary.

Jennie found an empty seat and could not help following Lisa with her gaze.

There were not many people in Chu Tian Hospital. It was unlike the crowded public hospitals where one needed to wait their turn for a long time. It was especially so for Lisa as he went to the VIP window, it was even more empty.

Even so, as she watched him personally collecting her prescription and busying himself for her, she felt incredulous, like something was not right.

Her gaze focused on his tall, dashing back, standing in front of the dispensary, waiting. There was no sign of him being relaxed as if he was standing by for someone to take his picture.

As she was watching him intently, he suddenly turned his head. His eyes quickly locked on to her and he caught her gazing at him.

Their distance from each other was not too near yet not too far. Jennie clearly saw his mouth moved upward in a gentle smile. She did not know if she was imagining things, but it looked like an indulgent smile for her.

Jennie hurriedly averted her eyes, she blushed so much that it was becoming difficult to tell where the swollen part of her face was. Her entire face was the same shade of red. She felt her heart unexpectedly fluttered in panic. She had to open her mouth to breath as relying on her nose alone to do that did not seem too useful now.

Her hand pressed on her chest, but it could not stop her heart from beating so erratically.

"Jennie?" A familiar voice that Jennie found annoying called out to her.

Jennie lifted her head in surprise. Her heartbeat went back to normal the moment she saw Kim Krystal and Jang Ja-yeon walked toward her.

"Such a coincidence, we just met you at the hotel last night and now we're meeting again," Kim Krystal and Jang Ja-yeon walked toward her. She noticed that Jang Ja-yeon was holding onto Kim Krystal's arm like it was something very important.

She immediately understood.

"Yes, what a coincidence," Jennie replied with perfunctory. Her eyes moved towards the direction of where Lisa was, and she saw him still waiting at the dispensary window.

"What are you doing here?" Kim Krystal smiled as she asked. She seemed to be in a good mood, quite unlike last night, when she was much more aggressive. The only thing was, her tone and expression looked like she could not wait to start showing off.

"I'm waiting for somebody," Jennie returned her gaze towards Kim Krystal.

Her cold attitude did not make Kim Krystal leave. She laughed proudly as her hands caressed her stomach, "I'm here for a check-up. I took a pregnancy test at home last night and it was positive. I'm here today to get a thorough check-up. Eunwoo is working and auntie was worried something would happen to me, so she is especially accompanying me here."

Jang Ja-yeon smiled uncomfortably and said to Jennie guiltily, "When we met at the hotel last night, we didn't know yet. Otherwise, I wouldn't have allowed her to eat spicy food."

All Jennie did was give a smile. She saw Lisa took the prescription and was walking over with the plastic bag in his hand, so she immediately said, "If that's the case, you better hurry up for your check-up."

Krystal did not look like she was about to leave, and Lisa was about to walk over. She immediately signaled Lisa with her eyes to not come over. She did not know if he would understand her.

She was relieved when Lisa actually stopped walking and did not come over. However, as he stood tall and dashing, there was an unhappy expression on his face.

His eyebrows lifted at her and it looked like his mouth was curved in a sarcastic smile. It made Jennie feel guilty.

"Jennie, no matter what, you are still my younger sister in name. Do you need to make things so awkward between the both of us? If it wasn't for our family, who knows who long you would be stuck in the orphanage or what you would be doing now. You wouldn't have been able to go to university or find a good job. Why are you being so ungrateful as to treat me with such a cold attitude? Did our family bring up an ungrateful person all these years?" Krystal sighed and shook her head.

It was unclear if she had done it on purpose but Krystal's voice did seem a little louder than usual. Even though there were not many people around, those who were there looked over. They looked at Jennie with disdain.

Jang Ja-yeon gave Jennie an apologetic look and said to Krystal, "Krystal, now that you're pregnant, try not to get angry. It won't be good for the baby."

Jennie took a deep breath. She did not like the sound of Jang Ja-yeon's words. While Jang Ja-yeon did not accuse her directly of anything, but her consoling words to Krystal indicated that she was the one that was angering Kim Krystal.

Jennie felt like this was all a joke. She had never done anything to offend Krystal. Krystal was the one who knew best what her life was like in the Kim Family all these years. She just had to distort the truth by suddenly announcing it loudly. What was she trying to achieve?

She did not give any trouble nor offend, yet Krystal came up to her and got angry on her own. Jennie had said nothing from the start and Jang Ja-yeon was blaming her?

"I treat you as a sister and really hope that you would give your blessings to me and Eunwoo, as well as to the baby in my stomach. Please don't hate us, if you have time, go home to visit mum and dad. No matter what, your current surname is still Kim," Krystal sounded like she was trying her best to convince her.

Jennie could only give a stiff smile and gave an answer that went against her will, "Yes, I will."

"Jennie, don't blame Krystal for being so direct. This is because she treats you like family and hopes that everyone is well. What's past is past, we should... look forward, okay?" Jang Ja-yeon said gently and tried to smile.
