Su Changxin's palms were so itchy that she could barely endure.
She looked at Jennie's expressionless face, and suddenly she felt like there was something different about her.
She did not know that Jennie was together with Lisa for quite some time, and one would take the behavior of one's company.
Two persons would influence one another if they spent too much time together.
The aloofness in Jennie's eyes had a trace of condescending that Lisa had towards other people. Due to Lisa's imposing manner, she was more or less influenced by him.
"I don't need to respect you," Jennie said unkindly.
"You ——," Su Changxin could not hold it in any longer. Her hand that was placed on her knee initially was already on the table.
She heard Jennie said coldly, "I attended the wedding so that we can still look like we're on good terms. I don't wish to cause any disruption or make all of you misunderstand that I'm trying to cause any trouble. I don't think you want to make a scene here either, Aunt Su."
"You!" Su Changxin gnashed her teeth. She was filled with hatred. Her palms that were initially clenched into a fist were forcefully put back on the knee.
Yang Zhiyuan tried to suppress his long face, then said calmly," Jennie, why do you have to make things ugly? I genuinely think that you're great, that's why I'm here again. I've seen your boyfriend, he is younger than me and quite good-looking as well. So what? Age and looks can't pay the bills. You might feel love for now, but what about the future? Aunt Su is doing this for your good. You're still young and naïve, we don't blame you. However, you shouldn't misunderstand the good intentions of a person, and be wasting the efforts of the Kim family for nothing. You don't have to firmly decLine the idea of being with me, there's no harm in leaving some leeway for it in case you change your mind."
Yang Zhiyuan straightened his back, the corners of his mouth showed a conceited faint smile," This is the difference between me and the younger generation. I'm old, but I can always remind you and guide you on the right path if you're with me. The Kim family wouldn't set you up, you've gone too far just now."
"President Yang, why are you forcing someone to do something against their will? I'm ungrateful. If I get married to you, I'll be an ungrateful burden to you. That's who I am. You said that there are a lot of young women out there who want to get married to you, you don't have to humiliate yourself by coming to me. It's my choice to be with my boyfriend, even if I would suffer from poverty in the future. You can come to me in the future and tell me that you've warned me but I didn't listen to you. It doesn't matter what the future holds, but I'm with my boyfriend now and I won't accept you. I'm willing to admit if I'm really poor in the future."
"From what I think, you've got nothing to be proud of about yourself. I'm aware of my status, so I've never thought of dating someone out of my league. I hope President Yang is the same as well. If you think that you're out of my league, then so be it. We're not suitable for each other. The Kim family has no rights to decide for me, so you don't have to talk to me about it anymore. Besides, I don't have anything to say to you. I don't need your money, and I don't need you to be my life coach. I'm ungrateful, and you don't need to waste any efforts on an ungrateful person like me. You can say that I'm insensible and unappreciative. Suit yourself. I just hope that I won't see you again in private," Jennie was getting infuriated. She opened the mineral water bottle in front of her and poured into a cup. Then, she held the cup and gulped everything into her stomach.
